More regionals to limit their power.
Regional airlines have no power and neither do Jetblue pilots.

The regional airline is a vendor and they get business by providing lower costs plus performance. Regional pilots do not stand there ground as a group because they want the heck out and will sell their sister for one more RJ to build PIC time to GTFO. There are less regional airlines now then there were in 2000.

Your job at ASA was because of Scope Relief. You may not have a career at Jetblue because we have very little scope and no alter ego protection and very little leverage. That is not ALPA fault. It is the Jetblue pilot groups. Jetblue pilots are the vendor with our PEA. Once we become too expensive the company may exercise the options they have preserved for the corporation. According to the company the 190 is already to expensive and if the pilot group wins 3A there is now way to separate the 190 from 3A and that aircraft IMO will start an to exit the fleet.

But they haven't and there is probably a reason for that. If you start this battle it could cause what you fear. Is that not a possibility?

I don't think you are the one this thread is about. I was there as well and the person was an F.O. at ASA. It was a bad situation where booze and politics just don't mix. What I do remember is the person making comments like UAL and DL will be out of business due to their unsastanable business model. As far as Jetblue, any new hire has no right to comment on anything about the subject, til you give it time. Then if you still feel the same way thats fine, you have that right and should be respected for your views. As far as going to CP well they found out somehow and confronted said pilot, with too many details of the conversation. Whomever went running to the boss is 100% wrong. We as pilots and adults need to confront the other person first. Be a man tell the other guy whats bothering you or just walk away from converstation. If it is a safety issue- CALL PRO STANDARDS, but simple dissagreement just warrants walking away. In the end pilots need to protect pilots, and guaranteed it is your only real source of protection.

If you were the ASA guy goodluck here at JB.

So you're saying that there are two, not one, completely clueless new-hires from ASA. Goody.

Dont beat on aircombat.. The guy deserves a break.. He worked for a craphole operator that would never had paid him more than a pittance.. He expected to just flow right through to the majors but with age 65 and temporary stagnation he decied to blame ALPA for his worthless MEC and fixed revenue feeder job..

Mediocrity has been ingrained into his low expectation mind.

Then he came over to JB and saw our shiny new jets and fancy training center and everybody smiling and pretending to be so happy and the chemical imbalance that brainwashed him into inept conclusions like: " Alpa is a paycut " just released a massive dose of blue endorphins.

He's got it all figured out just like the infamous chicken farmer producing his anti union manifestos but the reality is this new hire doesnt know jack s-hit about anything we have faced and are facing into the future.

This is not your craphole regional bottom feeder spoon biting regional. This is your opportunity to break out of your candy coated shell of mediocrity and work collectively towards a real career. A career that WILL STILL deliver a handsome CASM advantage to the company yet rewards you with true peerset average pay, benefits, and workrules.

In support of your rationalizations I will say that ALPA should NEVER have represented both the majors and the regionals that served them. That is a true conflict of interest. There was no way that your MEC and Alpa national could get you results..

That being said the landscape has changed dramatically and the mission and structure of todays regionals are different. The only viable option is ALPA.

Any thought that an in house will work here at blue is just foolishness
