I may be a little biased considering I just endured an 8 hour delay traveling home on the airlines.
Soooo, I for one will not complain about the comapany giving us access to the jets for our personal use.

They pay for you to get to your car and to any other base besides your base of origin. In scenario one its always a car service that handles this for the company. White plains to New Jersey (besides newark) will get you a rental car. In scenario 2 you park at ohare and they get you to where they need you via taxi or rental car.

ATL - if you end your tour at PDK it's MARTA to ATL.

Carry Permit

ATL - if you end your tour at PDK it's MARTA to ATL.

Isn't there a new law (or coming) in Georgia that you can pack your nine on public transportation? Of course, you won't be able to have yours coming from your tour but maybe joe business man will be packing some heat and protect you on marta.

The marta as a form of acceptable transportation? Are you friggin kidding me? Has anyone in the office at CS actually ridden on Marta? Or are they just thinking outside the box of cheap?

Only if you're on the ramp.

I have refused to take Marta a few times if it is late and they have never given me any grief.

I have always done the same with no problem. If you complain about the Marta then its shame on you for riding it in the first place. Take a cab, exspense it and its over. You won't hear another word about it and thats from the COO at one of the roundtable meetings. Been told by travel that I'll be taking the Marta 3 times and I've always refused with no incident. By the way that whole Marta system was a suggestion from one of our beloved brothers as a way the company could save money. At times we are our own worse enemies.

What is MARTA?

Georgias public transportation system. They are referring to taking the train a couple of stops from one airport to another. The conductor always looks like he's been in the gym alot. My guess is they are all from a prison release program or wearing a bullet proof vest. Official company word is no-one HAS to take the Marta if they don't want to. Some guys still think it'll get them somewhere. Most of us will never come close to getting on it. The Marta was suggested years ago by a crewmember who said it was "GREAT AND CHEAP". The company decided to try it out and the riot ensued shortly after. Now it still shows on the trip itenaray but 99% of our guys take a cab and the company ALWAYS pays without any questions.

The fractional world depends a lot on crew input. All of the companies from NJ, Flex, CS, etc have to take some input from crewmembers about our operation area as its virtually impossible to visit every hotel, FBO, andsample every caterer. This is the result of a crewmember who probably should not hold a medical giving a suggestion. They ran with it and quickly realised almost every other person in the company hated it. It happens a lot with us from hotels, to best airports to clear customs. We talk they listen and sometimes they listen to the village idiot.

Thanks again Sky. Appreciate the information.

No problem 7777, You've been in the military the Marta should be a breeze.

It's us civilian guys who get nervous when all the explosions start to happen, and the other passengers are carrying AK47's and shoulder mounted rocket launchers.
