Well Dude,
being a 2005 hire at AWA you want to be slotted in with 1988 hires in the East. These East pilots are block holders and 100 hundreds of pilots below them. In your situation I would want the Nic award to.

good luck

Marty:
If you're a UAL pilot, why are you so interested in what goes on at AAA?

Well, duh! And the Easties would be happy if 100% of the Westies get terminated for non-payment of dues. What we want is irrelevent. Nicolau heard all about what we wanted and rendered what he thought was fair. And here's the words of YOUR pilot neutral:

Finally I would like to a reaffirm my opinion that the Chairman Nicolau demonstrated exceptional judgment and wisdom working through many very difficult and challenging issues including the disparate aircraft types, routes, compensation systems, and pilot staffing formulas to mention just a few. It has been a privilege to work together with Chairman Nicolau and Captain Gillen on this Opinion and Award.

Gee, sure sounds like that Nicolau guy wanted to screw the East, doesn't it? (read sarcasm)
good luck
If I thought you meant it I'd thank you. So I won't.

If the reduction bid does go out and Dave O. is out on the street while new hires still work out East, the first harm shall be done and the litigation shall begin! Talk all you want about how the list should have been done, but the reality is the list is in and accepted. Attempt to modify and more litigation to follow. The West has done fine in the eyes of arbitrators and judges, the East does fine on web boards and in crew room talk!

No newhires will be employed after the furlough. MDA pilots were furloughed pilots. Not newhires.

Marty:
I'm just curious why you're so hell bent on firing up the Am West pilots when you claim right here not to work for Us Airways, and right here to be a UAL pilot. Well, which one is it? And why do you continue to stir the LCC pot?

Because I get a kick out of seeing the AWA pilots respond to my posts. Its all good.

[ my point was that ALPA carriers have had time to vote ALPA out and they haven't even tried. The USAPA cheerleaders keep saying that everyone in ALPA will soon follow. My point was that it was really dumb to say this. I mean who? Some anonymous carrier? Apparently there are a lot of them. But I haven’t seen even one vote [/quote]

Atlas Crews respond with approximately 93% of the membership filing cards. Cards continue to arrive and the percentage today continues to new historical highs!
No other airline labor group in history has delivered such a large mandate.
We will continue to announce each percentage as the new cards arrive. 94% is next!!
We filed with the NMB on Jun 12, 2008. Cards will be accepted until the Company delivers the Crew Roster to the NMB. We have promises of many more Cards. Please stand with your fellow AAWW Crewmembers and send in your Card via overnight mail.
