Genius, there's a reason that I don't have "fractional experience", and it ain't the same reason I don't have experience in something I would actually desire...say..."lunar landing experience". If I knew as little about fractionals as you say I do, then gee, I might be there....like you, for instance. You began ignoring me when I asked you to reconcile your advice to others to not accept employment at NetJets because it hurts your internal cause with the fact that you did that very same thing when you signed-on. I've always insisted that the easiest way to reject a wage anywhere if it sucks is to not go to work there in the first place, that accepting the position is voting "Yes" to a contract. Now, I'm sure in your eyes you think it's different when you said "yes" back then, because then, it was all about you. Wave all the Righteous Worker Banners you want to wave now, but in reality, it's no different at all.

I keep waiting to see substantiation of the "less-trained, less-safe" B.S. with even a shadow of evidence. It's quite a claim, so much so, it'll be challenged. Your leadership's B.S. is your B.S. (that's how elections and representation, including the union kind) work. So let's see the comparative statistics between yourselves and those departments making the salary you want to equal. Training and frequency is officially noted, just like incident/accident rates. Those basic statistics would actually help prove the assertion, but lacking even those however, it's meaningless tripe. You can repeat it over and over, it's still meanlingless tripe. Get 2 thousand people chanting it in the streets, and it remains...you guessed it...meaninless tripe.

Do you guys honestly believe you're going to persuade anyone that matters using unproveable, scaremonger tactics that denegrate others?...because you hope it increases the facade of your victimhood? Well, obviously your leaders do or wouldn't issue it. But the thing is, you're not persuading anyone by using them...not your management, not your owners, not any other pilot....the only people believing it is you. That hurts your overall cause because it makes you look stupid, arrogant, neophyte-ish, and...well....stupid.

I suspect I'm dealing mostly with people who came of age in the Clinton Era and learned to spew B.S. masquerading as Fact, no matter how ludicrous and unprovable, who then go crying to mommy and whine about life being "unfair" when asked to back it up.

You might want to pass along this notion up the Lemming-to-Lemming Leader chain of command; When trying to influence people, stick to things you actually know about instead of guessing...it makes you all look foolish.

Strong Union is not comparing NJA wages to other fractionals, airlines, NBAA or commuters.

They are going after what wages are possible with the profits of NetJets. That and only that is what they are using in negotiations.

I suspect that the (polite) reason that the NJ pilots haven't answered you is because you seem to have misstated the case completely. That and (less polite) they don't consider your post to be worth their time. I'll spare a few minutes between loads of laundry. We picked our son up from college today so that should tell you two things. 1) I don't have a lot of time for your post and 2) I hardly came to age during the Clinton Era.

You have the whole thing back wards, "Yaaak. It is the COMPANY that asserts that NJA's pilots receive MORE training and thus are SAFER. I suppose that is based on the fact that their FOs are required to pass a Capt check-ride. I am not here to argue the merits of whether or not they are THE safest. Do they have a good record? Yes. Does the company twist data to their own purposes? Yes. I've just read a document full of examples.

I don't doubt that you may have heard some NJ pilots question--sarcastically and bitterly--just why they are paid so much LESS than others who are LESS trained and LESS safe. I've never heard the NJ pilots being disrespectful to other pilots. I think you just failed to "get" a private joke. You have completely misconstrued the situation and misidentified the target of their bitterness.

That depends. As defined by the wise old men at ASAP who compare yearly flight hours and nothing else as a measure of productivity, I think it's clear that I fall into that "less-productive" category they speak of. In fact, using a $$$ per flight hour ratio equation, I'm insanely unproductive.

However....

...from an actual corporate flight department (as well as the rest of the business/private aviation world) standpoint, where it would be foolish to measure productivity and value by such a simple equation, I'm very productive....and worth every penny. They give me lots and lots of pennies. If they didn't, or not given good time-off to go along with it, I wouldn't have even considered working there.

I don't understand why people accept bad job offers, refusing them and walking away has always been a source of pleausure for me.

Traderd, it may well be a reflection of the general level of frustration those who post here have for the few who are more interested in baiting the NJ pilots--"rubbing their faces in it"--for their own amusement, rather than having a real discussion of contract shortcomings faced by the NJ pilots and their families.

What you read was some of the NJ pilots "throwing up their hands in exasperation". It has nothing to do with maturity, unless one recognizes that in their response to the situation: electing to use the "ignore" option.
