AirTran guys...if the SWA merger didn't happen, would you be making more than if it did? Would overall QOL improve? Would you belong to a stronger and more stable airline? I think you guys are making out pretty good in this deal.
Perhaps I am missing something and a bit uninformed here, but I would be happy if I were at ATN and getting scooped up by SWA.

The worst thing to happen to the industry was when DoH was deleted from merger/frag policies in favor of "career expectations."

It opened the door for guys like you to try to impose your IMAGINED upgrade time schedule on and at the expense of a group of future coworkers.

Mark my words, if this (not quite as) crappy deal goes through, the SWA "culture" and cockpit atmosphere will be poisoned for decades.
