By the way for any of you looking to save your jobs for real, showing vocal attributable support of a union puts you in a protected class and makes it very hard for Flexjet to fire you without risking a discrimination lawsuit. Especially important for those worried about the new creative ways FR will thin out the ranks. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Your living in a dream world if you think a union is the solution to the problem. This industry sucks right now for everyone of us and there isnt a union out there that is going to fix it.

Well said and I couldn't agree more. I guess what frustrates me and what I simply don't understand is why these guys don't even want to fight for a seat at the table. Flex management has proven time and time and time again that the ideas/opinions/needs of the pilot group are not a factor in their process.

Now there will be some who will I inevitably argue with that but I would challenge you to find me 3 good examples of when if they ever did take the opinions/vioces of the pilot group into consideration it was't ultimatly self serving to management or come back to bite you in the butt. Take your recent "raise" followed 1 month later by a duty reduction that actaully netted you guys a fair loss of income.

I guess the only point steelers makes that I guess I need to consider more is that union or not if y'all continue to be little girls about it, it's not worth it. Sorry to insult little girls...

It's easy to feel like genuises and pat yourselves on the back when the money's easy to come by. Look at United and their gold-plated contract pre-9/11.

Who the hell knows? You guys might have to eat your contract just like all those guys at United did. You might find yourselves looking a lot more like us than you care to admit a couple years from now.

On a semi-related but not really note, what's with all the Flex pilots taking overtime? I've seen and heard of it from both CAs and FOs in every fleet. Every rotation I come across someone who says "blah blah blah so asked for a day of overtime." When I confront them about it, I get the "hey I gotta feed my family" excuse.

On a semi-related but not really note, what's with all the Flex pilots taking overtime? I've seen and heard of it from both CAs and FOs in every fleet. Every rotation I come across someone who says "blah blah blah so asked for a day of overtime." When I confront them about it, I get the "hey I gotta feed my family" excuse.

I think some of that is people being scared they won't have a job down the line and trying to cover for it. Still unacceptable but at least not malicious.

Other people just don't care and then you will always have the famous buy a brides who will work every day they can get their hands on...

And some of it is just trying to get out of a bad situation. I know personally that some people elect to take an ot day at the end of a rotation instead of coming home at 11:30 after a 13 hour day. Dispatch asks you to work OT you say no thanks you get screwed on next day scheduling and are told if you are willing to work with them maybe they can change some things around... This has happened a few times either to my husband or those he's working with especially when the crews duty days are mismatched.

We have close to 3000 pilots at Netjets.
Of course you're gonna find a few with arrogant attitudes.
Not everyone there has the same condescending attitude you described above.

Well, thanks for confronting them about it. Wish more guys were like you. Next time you do, please tell them we the furloughed really appreciate it. It's not like we have bills to pay and families to feed or anything.

I met a lot of great people at Flex and really enjoyed my time there, but more and more every day I wish I would have just kept flying single pilot in piece of $#!t freighters for $45k a year. I never thought I'd consider those the "good old days" so soon, but wow... those really were the good old days.
