I'm not a usapa cheerleader but come on flyer your statements make you look as silly as the letter writer. Us air was going down the tubes yes but to view awa as a savior is nonsense. Where was awa going? You guys were a nice little regional airline in the southwest. You both needed each other. You were both going nowhere fast.

So AWA was able to talk the gov't into a loan in 3 months and USAir took almost 3 years to secure one and then proceeded to burn through the 1 Billion in a little over 2 years.

Folks who invested in the recovery of AWA have been paid back nicely. The Alabama Teachers Retirement fund took a huge haircut on their investment on USAirways, not to mention the concessions that came with the ATSB loan that USAPA and their supporters are still clinging to.

AWA was far from perfect, but it facilitated the resuscitation of US, for better or worse. The east pilots should have put their pride behind them and chosen better labor leadership and abandoned the failed civil war against the AWA pilots.

Captain Anderson says what a lot of us think and all you know is true. Awa was the garbage can of airlines

How many planes has USAir crashed since 1989 ?

How many passengers have died on USAir planes since 1989 ?

How many planes has America West crashed since they started?

How many passengers have died on America West planes since they started ?

This is not exact science. Luck or fate has a lot to do with it which is out of our control. I stupidly once rode on a luckily now defunct POS Mexican airline called Aerolineas Internacionales. Their planes lost bolts, screws, fluids and all kind of other parts all over the tarmacs and skies. They never crashed, never claimed a loss of life. How do you explain this?

He talks about the AA merger but conveniently forgets to mention it was the AWA merger that saved his job. Without the dirt bag AWA he'd have been on the street begging instead of whining about how unfair life is to a Judge.

Notice when he was describing all the attributes of a East pilot, he never included integrity.

It's funny that even the US Airway management doesn't think USAPA will fairly represent the West pilot during SLI talks with APA. From the Leonidas last update:

US Airways motion asked the Court to enter a declaratory judgment that the ?West Pilots have the right under Federal McCaskill-Bond statute to full and separate representation in the upcoming seniority-integration proceedings between the pilots employed by US Airways and American Airlines, Inc.?,

This motion also clearly states that management accepted the Nic list and the only reason it hasn't implemented it was the transition agreement requiring operational integration for seniority integration to take place.

It'll be nice when the USAir/AA merger is complete and USAPA is relegated to the dung heap where it belongs.

Well stated Jim..... +1
