Honestly, Do you really think we're cheaper than MESA?

It's possible; MAG has quite a few fleet types (1900, Dash 8, ERJ, CRJ) and for the same reason Southwest has cheaper costs using a common fleet type ExpressJet may very well be able to keep costs lower.

With 270 aircraft, you've got almost 100 more than Mesa, and with those additional airframes comes large scale efficiencies (think wal-mart).

People like to point at other groups and say "your contract stinks! that's why you got our flying!" when really they should be looking at their own management for their troubles. We just fly the planes, the management are the people who make or break it IMO.

So here is some food for thought. AWAC recently cashed in around $200+ million of it's USAir shares, takes the Skyway CEO into it's fold, Midwest needs to finance it's own aircraft growth (hence the RFP on 50 seat flying), AWAC gives them some of it's cash to finance it's growth in return for the purchase of Skyway??

Discuss.

AWAC is gonna buy a piece of Midwest, just like we bought a piece of US AIR. If you cant BEAT 'EM in the bidding wars.., BUY 'EM.

I just saw Rankin today and man he had a smile ten miles wide on him. I hope he's happy where he goes. Boys it's time to start bailing out, you know things are bad if the rats are jumping ship!
