Kmox,

Don't bother wasting your time with this YPF. He is tool box filler - that's all. He is full of himself and would throw his own relatives under the bus to save his job. He doesn't realize that the statement he made above is exactly why we are in this position in the first place - because mainline ALPA leadership has always treated the regionals as second class and nothing more. If the leadership of each MEC had not taken a holier than thou view of the feeders we wouldn't be in this mess.

By the way, as of this moment XJ crews have not taken any concessions, the wishes of the company will be imposed. I think NWA pilots have accepted concessions 2 or 3 times over the past few years and the company hardly had to work at it to get them. YPF you really should go spout your crap to your own pilot group (if you really are a NW pilot).
No, what I said above isn't what got us here. What got us here is pilot's inability to properly manage themselves or careers. This has nothing to do with mainline vs regional. It's easy to put the blame on mainline pilots for "bending over", however, what could they have gained by not "bending over"?

No pilot group has taken the necessary steps to regain anything they have lost other than to just look at company profits and demand more. When the company is in the red, they decide to give more. The ones who don't give wind up furloughed or a scab replaces their position. No pilot group currently has taken steps to insulate their career against the changing market.

Instead management has you believe that the upper group sold out the lower group. By moving blame to you guys, you can't see past the real problem. Which is, the changing market. What works for one pilot doesn't necessarily work for another pilot.

Maybe it can be you fly4ever, give us the comprehensive plan to restore our salaries to our 1999 contract.

You could have at least held on to your scope.

Hopefully, Mesaba will.

You mean Compass?

Flew Masaba today.

What gives? Sat at the gate, with one engine running, for 35 minutes. The captain said that they were waiting for Weight and Balance #'s. FOR 35 MINUTES!!!

Whip out the wiz wheel and lets go...your gutting into my drinking time!!!!

No mesaba is not going to protect the profession. It will either be gone or be working for a concessionary contract.
