I've had frequent visits to ORD throughout my career (135 and 121), and have never run into this problem. If there is one, then reading the AIM must be optional for controllers in ORD! It specifically states that controllers can't reduce or waive wake turbulance separation requirements, they need to give you 2 min or 5 miles for takeoff (4 miles for 757). Additionally, if crew asks for 2 minutes, they must give it to them.8HourPilot said:Come to ORD.....

sabreliner said:Heading out to the runway the other night, heard a Mesa crew telling the tower they were about to time out. Tower helped out by moving them up behind a heavy DC-8 to get them out sooner. Mesa as they were taking the runway offered to waive the wake turb delay to make sure they didn't time out. Tower said no.
Does this bother anyone else? Seems to me I'd rather time out and go back to the gate rather than time out for good. Poor decision making.
If only you could stop your constant biitching about 9E..........Then maybe you also could stop blaming 9E for Mesaba's fallout........ If only.....:bawling:xjcaptain said:If only it was B.S..........Then I could ride on 9E or even possibly put my family on them. If only....
