Hell, even the NJASAP board (our side) doesn't get much traffic anymore.... The Union guys have all but disappeared too. Probably too busy fighting amongst themselves.

Luthi has to go and he will go. We have no confidence in him and no respect for him. End of story.

Speak for yourself.

If this recall happens, watch the rest of the recalls start. Don't like my idea? Recall. Don't like my tone? Recall. Don't like my shirt? Recall. Don't like the smell of my farts? Recall. Don't like Stag Beer? Recall. Don't like that I said "Hi" to Bill Olsen? Recall.

This is a dangerous slope we are on, and the primary reason I will not support this.

I agree it is slippery slope, but what's greasing the slope is the fact that the EBoard can "conjure up" Bylaws to avert any violation that may have occurred. And as long as you have the favor of a majority of the Eboard you will not be "convicted".

It should have gone to the membership for a vote. The rules for recall were followed.. Let them decide. Win or lose atleast it would have been by the book.( the original book, not the one the Eboard creates to fit their needs at the time.....)

Just because it hasn't yet, doesn't mean that it won't. Because the slope is SO slippery, there is nothing wrong with being cautious and making sure that if we are going to do this, that we do it right. There are no re-do's in something like this.

Luthi will lose the next election anyway. He won't be welcome back on the line with these antics! So much for that political career in DC! They are all doomed.

I was under the impression that if they all couldn't decide who to replace Luthi as an interim President, it would then go to an election. (Which it should in my opinion. I definitely think Luthi should resign, however I don't trust a majority of the Eboard. Too many agendas, personal relationships etc..)

Union responsibility is to make sure the company adheres to the CBA. It is not to attempt to run the company, bad mouth the management or picket because they don't feel managment is doing a good job. Because bottom line is WB thinks management is doing a good job, and his opinion is all that really matters in the end.

Good post. I am wondering, is there any candidate who would NOT do a better job than Luthi (referring to his antics over the last 12 months.)

They all need to go. Every single eboard member. They have all lost touch with the will of the pilot group. No, I wouldn't run as my plate is full at home but we do need more candidates. The days of having all buddies and friends in there need to come to an end.

Good thing you were not around in 2004 if you think any ANTICS have gone on in the last 12 months.

you must also understand that your measley 200 ish votes are not going to mean anything on the next go around in contract negotiations

Agreed, except one. His initials are BW.

But even if he resigned, I have little doubt he would be the one member that would be re-elected.

You are correct, I don't have the numbers to oust people like you. More's the pity. Although if Luthi is forced out, maybe there are more people like me than we both think.

Luthi's boys took an old-fashioned beating today. It's only a matter of time before he receives the same. The pilots are cleaning house. It's about damned time.

Is that why we have had a bit more participation from some EBoard on the furloughed msg board the last 2-3 days?( I don't know who was ousted or who was up for election or anything like that)

Maybe trying to get some last minute words in before leaving office?

Mark Luthi has just gone and thrown ALL of his loyal team under the bus by not having a recall election in accordance with the bylaws!!

Way to go "leader"!!

What is the "President's" Perspective looking like now?

Yep and more to come from what I hear!

Many of you need to look at this mess in more detail.

Its all about Section 6 negotiations start next year.

That's what important.

Hey congradulations! Now you can take a neophyte union leadership into negotiations next year.

Big win for your management. Big loss for the NJ pilots and fractional industry pilots in general.

Just like Walker said. "Devide and conquour.".

Negotiations? HA. The company has already changed our contract and our union leadership sat there and let it happen (and we weren't even in negotiations). The union has been too afraid to send anything to arbitration so instead we just take it. Besides, just because leadership has had a shake up doesn't mean the negotiations team has changed..

And regardless of the pro or anti luthi stance, I think most pilots will join together if/when the time comes. Do you think if this country was invaded, the democrats and republicans would split, or join forces and obliterate the invaders?

I agree with you on the union letting some things in the current contract go but when you have a pilot group afraid of a picket what do you expect?

51 % is what they need to get what they want. They already have 10 percent of the vote locked up. It comes down to 41% of the group. Who will cave???
