Now, take away the 50 seaters, and you have 130??? Most of the 50 seaters will be GONE in a few years (especially with oil as high as it is today---near $80 a barrel). And, larger RJs are still limited to legacy scope clauses, and the legacies aren't near BK like they were when 70 seaters went to larger 76 seaters....Sorry, scope changes aren't likely for a long time, and I bet the 50 seaters will join the 37 seaters (like Emb-135s) in AZ or CA in the desert before then.

I was sure Great Lakes was interested in buying Comair and putting the 50 seaters on rotations from DEN to places like Laramie, Riverton, Miles City, Moab, and Gillette...... Maybe that will be the case? I bet that would be friggen FANTASTIC. You could call yourself "Comair 630 HEAVY" on the unicom and impress a Cessna 185 Skywagon pilot!

Maybe you were still flying Cessnas as an UNDIE up in ND, but the last time anyone gave any scope away was thanks to BK judges forcing the issue. IF you think that will willingly happen again anytime soon, you are sadly mistaken. I never supported the increase of scope, ever. Hey, just back from SFO are ya? Good.

Did I threaten WHAT? What are you talking about again? I stated I have a feeling CAL and UAL scope will become more restrictive, which will mean more 50 seaters will eventually leave the fleets, like they are doing right now at other airlines. Good Ole scope will NOT be the same as it is now at UAL, and that will be good for everyone in this industry in the long run.

Incorrect. The old DC9s are actually on the way out September 1st as planned (the -30 versions), and the -40s are staying longer than planned, until 1st Q 2011. The DC9-50s will stay for a few more years at least. Also, that rumor of a pay bump has been around for awhile, but the selling of Compass and Mesaba (and probably Comair) shows that after a possible asking by management and the resultant NO from the union, they decided to get out of the regional business all together. Good try. And, I am amazing, thanks. (don't get flirty with me)
