"But bitching that the unemployed should be slotted above an active, working pilot is shameful."
We are doing more than just bitching about it, we intend to make it happen and I don't feel the least bit shamed by it sport.
You will be thanking us when your furlough comes for maintaining the correct precedent.
Dave O. is that you?

V-Twin, get bent. When you are furloughed, you do not have a job. Been there, done that. When you get laid off you go find other work. It sucks. Been there. Why are you sitting around waiting to come back to a clusterf#*k of an airline? You obviously(sp) are qualified to apply to the UPS's, FEX, AT,SW,JB's of the world. Go get yourself something better. Done that. But bitching that the unemployed should be slotted above an active, working pilot is shameful.

You crack me up. You make as much sense as your integration arguement, none. So resort to personal attack.
Pot meet kettle.
Let us not forget that AWA had already been in bankruptcy before 9/11 and has been fubar almost since its inception.
Ouch, got me there Linecheck.
Parker recently said AWA was going to liquidate in the article posted here that you are misquoting, and has of yet never supported your goofy position that AWA saved AAA. In fact he has emphatically denied it.
The arbitrator will most likely disregard it as noise also. It is just as ridiculous as the notion that AAA is going to save DAL, but it is all you got
so your going with it.
If you are so confident of your merger committee's case, then why are we debating the seniority integration here on Flightinfo?
Perhaps you may also realize that the more we sling bombshells on each other regarding who's airline is more financially solvent, the more resentment our two pilot groups will have over each other, and for ALPA. This, my friend, is exactly what Parker and all other airline CEO's want: for us to become so engrossed in internal politics that we loose sight of everything around us.
All the AAA/HP pilots are going to be screwed with this integration. There will be not one pilot who will be happy with the outcome. We can either direct this anger at ourselves and make us look like a bunch of idiots, or we can focus this energy on an industry leading contract that restores what each airline has given up so much.
I, for one, am looking forward to a huge raise!
Something tells me that with that lovely personality of his, the only job ol'V-Twin could have gotten was the USAir job he got furloughed from.Anyway, doing something like what you mentioned would probaly take too much effort. I guess he much rather sit here on this webboard and "beech" about his mis-fortune.
