Like Hugh said, I would apply, interview and then make your decision based on what you see. Talk to some NJ guys on here, preferably PM so that it doesn't get off topic. Everyone I have flown with is great and very professional. It is kinda of nice "jerking gear" again, no paper work to mess with. The time will come to upgrade, but its want you want and what fits your needs.

I left NJA for my current 91 job last year after the new contract was signed. It was a gamble, and so far it has payed off. Big time. I can't imagine going back to that 7n7 schedule. Not to mention that I now fly in a month what I would have flown in a week at NJA.

just my .02

Amen Brother, congrats! Welcome to the rest of your life! You will find more peace in your life.

Be Safe

The only way you"ll know if you made the right decision is when you retire. I"m bias(current NJA) but I would not bet my future on any airline or part 91 company. The first thing to always go is the flight dept. It might take 5 years or more to upgrade but you can make 100 grand as a FO. No one in the business comes close to our benefits. If you have 35 years until 65. I would go to NJA.. MY 2 cents...

No one in the business comes close to our benefits.

My company offers a fully funded pension AND a matching 401K. Also, we have medical benefits after retirement - for life.

That's not too shabby. Still, every job has its trade-offs. The NJA salary is pretty hard to beat after you've been there a while.

Just remember the pension is company property and they can take it anytime they want..Again when the bean counters look at 50 million in aircraft and times are bad they tend to boot the aircraft. That has been my experience and with people i'm friends with..But again if you like it there. I'm happy for ya..If ya have the chance to work for NJA i would not turn it down..

Always? Come on.

Guys come on..You know what i'm saying....You right not EVERY time but is it worth the risk?

Everytime Warren buys a company the flying goes to NJA granted he owns NJA..but mergers, buyout etc...

All i'm saying is NJa is a better bet than almost any part 91 company....
