Oh..but it looks good on you!
The leather jacket is like a thong bikini. They look good on someone who is in shape. Have you ever seen a 5'6", 225Lb. captain with a leather jacket. Yea, that looks good! Nice belly hair peaking out below. Now, just imagine it's a female captain... Oh God, don't even go there!
The problem at AWA is that you have to wear the Perone jacket with the cheesy Velcro patch. No exceptions! Like many other pilots, I came from another airline that used Leather jackets. The problem is that it's not Perone. It looks exactly the same but that's not good enough. The company forbids Perone from sending you a Velcro name tag unless you are on their customer list. So I have one $400 leather jacket that I rarely wear and they want me to pay an additional $400 dollars for an virtual copy. Whatever! I smell kick back!
