L1011's for Sands Casino

Does anyone have any info on this operation? I think they have 2 or 3 L1011-500's (385's) and fly to Macau.

I think you need to know someone and/or have L1011 time. They're not exactly short on money over there, though, and I think the job would be a blast. Good for a retired guy.

The company's official name is Las Vegas Sands Inc. They operate the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and the Sands Hotel in Macau.

Any contact info on these guys? Anyone have an email address or number? Is it actually operating on a USA(FAA) certificate? US crews , etc. ?? I wonder who's old L10s they're using. Sounds intersting... the TriStar is an awesome airplane..., ... unfortunately just not much future left in flying them. Thanks

The 2 L1011's being flown are both ex Saudi Royal Family birds - both very low time aircraft.

I know several of the crews including a couple that are designated to go on the L1011's when they enter service. I would hardly call any of them "jerks". Maybe they don't cotton to you for some reason but hardly worth calling them names on a public forum.

Relax. Check your facts:

1. Ask the pilots and FAs, while both are in the same room, if they get along.

2. How many FAs has that operation gone through?

3. How many people who work for Sheldon can actually stand him and his family?

I can't speak for all the crews, you're correct. But, I can speak for some of them and for the total lack of personality of the owner - first hand. So relax.

Several of the existing pilots have strong Classic backgrounds including the SP. Shoudn't be much of a problem finding some others out there in the bushes.
