Looks like a DC-10 modified for dropping retardant or water on forest fires
 
This aircraft just recieved approval from the US Forrest Service and should be available for service soon.

I was guessing some sort of fire bomber but hadn't a clue. Thanks for enlightening me.

Just when they get those bigger planes on line and negotiations for wages starts heating up...some dingaling will figure out a way to fit a CRJ or EMB with a tank, signaling the race to the bottom.
 
Omni Air out of Tulsa was trying to do the same thing. All of their tail #s end in AX so this might be the one. I don't know of very many people try to jerry-rig a DC-10 to hold flame retardant.
 
I've got a nice pic of the Q-400 with a tank on it. I'll try and post it.


The Q400 is a little bit better idea...
