Fellow Pilots,

FYI: Kit Darby is in LAX right now supporting NJA management during bargaining with the pilots.

My first flight instructor was a crusty P-38 Ace that once said, "No matter what happens in your life after today, you will always be a pilot and an Aviator - no one can ever take that away from you."

After 18 years of flying I think ol' Spencer was a little off. As soon as you take a stand against your fellow pilots you take the rank of "Aviator" away from yourself.

Regards,

Col.

Just how does he support them, hold em up at the bar afterwards or give them advice on pilot shortages. Is there an Air Inc.book on this??

Fair questions (or fairly silly questions). He completed a presentation supporting NJA's position on crew basing, scheduling, and compensation based on proprietary Air Inc data. Kit Darby lecturing the ASAP Negotiating Team on the Fractional Industry is like Courtney Love lecturing the Pope on spirituality and personal values.

I do not know if there is an Air Inc. book on Union Busting or limiting pilot compensation, benefits, or career expectations. Perhaps his experience in LAX this week will help him in such publishing projects.

Regards,

Col.

WTF does he know about our industry.

He can't even get the pilot shortage right.

What a scumbag. Just trying to get his name into another industry.

There was a time Kit Darby didn't give a squat about corporate aviation, now he's an expert ? He needs to go back to scamming young dreamers or better yet, just vanish totally. It's an insult to those of us who have made corporate aviation our careers.

Can just see him selling used cars, when he does us all a favor, and retires.
Probably a buy here... pay here operation. With 24% interest rates.

Self proclaimed airline interview guru. Oh yeah, and part time airline pilot.

He surfaced sometime in the early to mid eighties with a novel way to separate desperate airline pilot wannabe's from their lunch money.

Convinced thousands of chumps, (like me) that without his insider info. and coaching, you might never achieve that most sought after liner job.

Rather ironic that so many of his "graduates" are now seeking positions in the lowly GA sector. Welcome back fellers :)

NJ management could bring Chuck Yeager in a birthday suit to SMO as far as I care. I know, and so does 83% of the pilot group, what we need to see in the next T.A. Bring it on.

How does bringing a guy who would sell and tell anyone anything to keep them buying his crap or going to his 'fairs' help mgt?
The mediator is an ex-airline guy, he knows who's at the table. Maybe they can bring Lacy on to talk about Union relations.

Kit is such the know it all now about NJA because his girlfriend (furloughed United) is now flying there. I guess that makes him an expert! NOT...

Hmmm......then it would appear that Kit isn't the only one bonin' her :)

Hey, give Kit a break. He's just trying to get her car back! Maybe if NJA pays him enough as a consultant he can once again, maybe, afford a second car.

Bwahahhhhhaaa!!

I had heard it was the G200, but someone this week said it's the Falcon and they're married. I didn't know Kit was into women, honestly.

It's probably self interest. With all the money he's scammed from us he can afford a frac share or two. Hey, it beats non-revving with all that rabble these days...TC

I Stand Corrected

QUOTE FROM ANOTHER SOURCE:

"Fellow Crewmwmbers,

I would like to add, in an official capacity, a respectful request that we refrain as a group from contacting Air Inc. or Kit Darby directly.

I can report with complete confidence that his appearance was in no way one-sided nor did it have, or will it have an impact on the bargaining strategy of your Negotiating Committee. He was present at the behest of the company and was reported to be under the impression that he was welcome by all parties for the purpose of closing the "preception gap" on wages and benefits."

also,

"Furthermore, attacks and/or inuendo, inappropriate remarks and/or behavior towards anyone working here and associated with Kit Darby and/or Air Inc. will not be tolerated by either Management or your Union representatives. We expect every pilot to continue to take the professional "high road" on this BBS, on Flightingo.com, when in rest at work, and while on duty at work.

If any of the above points are not clear to you please call me immediately and I will explain in detail.

Thank you,

XXX

Cut and paste at will for "that other board.""

PLUS, NOTE TO STOOGES: SAY THE NAME SLOWLY IN A SOUTHERN ACCENT, THEN YOU'LL GET IT.

P.S. I like saying your board name slow with a southern accent.

actually it's okay to post that one post from our message board.

The poster from the union message board asked for it to be posted over on this message board so that everyone understood.

Flylow normally you're right though. Thanks for reading our rules.

Kit Darby is not Publishers..........

I have known Kit for a number of years and do not admire his approach to what he does. That said, he is informed, does the research, and for certain things provides a valuable service. Like many, he grabs, sorts, and puts out what is there in other spots for those who want one source/

Nah, Publisher is some corporate/management guru from south FL. Maybe his name is Dent, or possibly Monahgn,

He "published" a magazine for AEPS sometime back.

I do wonder if he and lowecur might be buddies
