FYI....my current employer received the request for records on Thursday.

References not contacted yet (that I know of)

Now THAT is funny!!!! I guess all furloughed guys should find work that is suitable to the AA lineholders.

Yes indeed. You know, for the good of the profession.

Well, if going to jetBlue will piss off the APA, then that is another wonderful affirmation of my desire to go there and shoot up on BlueAid. The Phase II wait is a bit agonizing. I still have not gotten the info they talked about sending regarding the aircraft choice. I have already pretty much decided, but I am curious what they had to say.

My former employer was contacted also. I guess that is a sign of good things coming. Does anyone know why it takes 5-8 weeks to complete?

Anyone hear any more about their background checks, etc? Waiting and wondering...

I have not heard anything! It's very difficult to be patient for the job of a lifetime. Why is it that they even tell you it could take up to 8 weeeks and you still feel like it is going to happen in a week?

I got my copy of my FAA record request. Good sign. I might be getting ahead of myself, but have any of you guys that might be going to class soon know if most people bring a car to MCO or is it doable without?

I received a call on Wednesday from US Investigations with a question about my employment history.

I heard yesterday of one guy that already has a class date of Oct 26. He interviewed on Sept. 20.

you heard of one guy", you have to tell us more than that.

I have my car there already, would be more than happy to run guys around to Chipotle burrito or anywhere they serve margharitas after school.

I just hope to get the call, to answer your question, 6 weeks without a car, I guess it is possible, training center is near by and plenty of pilots will have cars. there isn't a supermarket for some distance to buy neccessities, ie. beer and touthpaste.

you could do a rental once in a while, EZ Rental car is cheap, iff you are FL resident, I think you are limited to 100 miles, but cheap. their office is close to where we all will be staying. there are like 10 restaurants and 10 other hotels nearby, and the Virgin Atlantic girls stay a few blocks away at the Marriot Hotel, right next to the Hooters.

All of my PRIA stuff was sent in, and some of my past employers have been called. Some haven't been called. None of my contacts have been called either.. UHGGGGGGGG!!! Not too sure what the deal is. Have all of your guys' contacts been call yet?

I waited 10 weeks for the call. Yes, it was agonizing....

They said I had an anomoly on my NDR that needed to be cleared up.

I think they call the guys with no "issues" first, then deal with those who need some research.

Good luck.

I'm still waiting.... I know of a few people that started class today, some start on the 26th and there are two more class dates in November. I was told during the interview process that it will take no more than 4 weeks to get a call for a class due to a new expedited procedure regarding background checks and work/residental history verification. We are in week three now and still no call. My references have not been contacted either....should I be getting nervous?. By the way I heard a rumor that they are screening people alphabetically during phase 2 is that right?

all of these people interviewed on Sept 20/21???

In grade school I always got stuck in the back of the class because of my last name beginning with "W". I really hope this is not the case!

I got the copy of my Fed records the other day, but that is it. I was told it helps if you stare at your phone for hours on end, willing it to ring, so I have been doing that quite a bit. I had a fantasy that I would get a call and get into the class on the 26th, but it is now less than two weeks. Anyone know when the next classes are so I can fantasize about them??

I have a military friend that interviewed on the 21st and was offered a 12th Oct class, he turned them down in the 11th hour. he said the day before their is a BBQ, so class actually begins the day before all known class dates. So he said no thanks on the 10th. he's going to Canyon Blue. I know a "Blue dart" that interviewed on the 20th and is in the 26th class.

I am hearing classes for the Bus are every two weeks, Nov 9. Nov 23, etc.

who knows, I am waiting in Bali and catching good waves, eating cheap food, avoiding getting blown up.

Bali Bagus!

jetBlue Bagus!

FWIW, I was talking to one of the employees of the JetBlue uniform provider the other day and he told me they were notified by B6 management to plan for 600+ new hires for 2006.

During my interview process (Sept. 20th) I was told by the pilot recruiters that they want to train 56 newhire pilots per month for at least the next 24 months...That is 1,344 pilots in the next two years....that number is insane if you ask me.

When I got hired at United 5 years ago, they said I could be a junior 737 skipper inside 3 years. Things change and I'm coming up on my 4th anniversary of furlough. Now I spend my time chewing my fingernails raw and waiting to hear from jetBlue.

How many people are currently on the seniority list?

They told me during my interview on the 20th that they had just hired their 1000th pilot.

I don't have any fingernails left. HURRY!!!!
