I see people leaving as doubly positive: 1. It will put pressure on management to fix things.

Wrong.

According to our Chief Operating Officer on today's conference call:

Pilot attrition is a matter of who we hire.

So they're not fixing anything. They're looking to hire more 23 year old myopic simpletons who will accept less.

Listen to the call. The words are his...not mine.

How long does it usually take before the transcripts are posted?
I was working but I hear that it was pretty entertaining.

If You are a JB pilot and need anymore reasons to vote in the first union that you possibly can, just listen to Robs call today. I can't even fathom how a pilot with any responsibility towards his family could not vote in a union after listening to that.

I can't either, but...
Met a nice guy today from a very senior base.
Talking about base bids, he was enthused that at a certain base that there were NO limits. As MUCH flying as you want! He was happy that he had approached >1000 hours for the year and had to take a month off!

Lives in base, picks up day-turns, DHs, RSAs, etc. Makes a $hit-load of money.

This really nice guy works at a different airline than I and most of my peers and lesser seniority do.

He'll never vote union to raise all boats. His ox remains un-gored.

So, now what?

Like I said: Nice guy. We're ALL nice guys(gals).
