Well in addition to being a racist you are an elitest also. If you wear a gold chain and at least one ring other than a wedding ring then you have completed the "trifecta of aging".

Glad you are concerned about my wealth. That is how you measure yourself with other men is it? I prefer height. (those with a sense of humor will get it) That is from a movie that involved laughter and I have a feeling you don't know what that is like.

As far a JetBlew goes. Yep I dislike them. Yep I don't agree with on how they to down play the seriousness of this job. I don't agree with many things blew. I do believe there is a whole new band of believers waiting in line to make Virgin Red the new darling. Did UAL hire minorites? Yes. Does JBLU put their low qualed pilots in advertisments? Yes. For those that argue that JBLU had nothing to do with it, they would have to sign off on having the logo and name in the mag. Noticed some of the other success stories only list the guy and that he is flying the dream with an unamed airline. But JBLU being the whores they are wanted their name front and center. Just like you got to have your ego leading the pack.

As to the seedy pubs. Well London for one is full of pubs. Have a few favorites and as far your thoughts of self importance keep that up. You need a friend.

FINALLY someone is getting back to bashing jb. I have been checking this thread all day, and what do you know, after you two got finished with your foreplay, I was rewarded with a personal attack on the qualifications of jb pilots. You're right 32 -- in my case all that military time, carrier time and combat time was worthless. Nothing in the world can prepare you to sit on your hands for 3 hours while you talk about booze, chics and money. Er, I mean SOPs and FARs. How else can you spend the time in between 10 mins of actually flying an airplane? Sorry, there I go downplaying "the seriousness of this job." Guess I need to start making some radio calls.

What you don't get however, is how many of you, and by "you" I mean legacy, LCC, military etc that work and will continue to work at jb. Stop criticizing your peers.

As for you and Boeingman, the opposite of love is indifference. Some pop tart told me that. Ha.

Bavarina Chef-

Since insults seem to be the soup du juor (no pun meant with your moniker), would you be interested in getting into an argument? No real reason as I tend to enjoy your recent post, I simply want to feel part of the gang.

Anxiously awaiting,

Juice

T10:

From one UALer to another---time to shut your trap and debate your fellow pilots in an informed and civil manner. You keep hammering on an issue that you are completely ignorant on. I know exactly the FlightSafety ad with the female Jetblue pilot you are talking about. What you don't realize is that back in 1996, there was another very similar FSI ad featuring a female UAL pilot. She went through the ab-init. program at FSI Vero Beach, was hired by a commuter with 300 hours, and left that commuter F/O job for UAL 11 months later. The ad featured her sitting in the right seat of a UAL 737-300 after upgrading from 727FE. I know who this lady is and am not making this up. I remember the ad well ---- it was torn out of Flying (where it ran for several months in '96) and was posted on the crew lounge wall of the commuter I worked for back then. Maybe you have spent a bit too much time flying the big equipment, because it seems as though you are really out of touch with reality. Then you wonder why you come on here and get smacked.

The bottom line is this. We UAL pilots for now have just survived a near death experience. We are lucky to even have a flying job to go to at this point. I still believe, despite the impression this thread has given, that most of us understand that and are long past sticking our noses in the air at other pilot groups. After all, look at what we just went through. Hardly anything to be proud of.

Having said that, arrogance is not unique to UAL and other legacy pilots past and present on this board. With the rise of LCCs , their "10% factor" has become obvious as well. I have read this board on and off since 1997, and that trend has been very noticeable. It is these type of pilots, no matter who they work for, that will get a response like this from me every time I see it.

Boeingman-

First, thank you for pointing out that JB is not in the business of hiring someone simply because they are a minority etc. JB has minimums and competitive minimums that are simply not ignored.

Second, United has for years hired the most unqualified inexperienced pilots on or off the market. No new news there.

Actually no more need be said.

OK one more thing...quit going round with this 32LT10 fella. He is a few strokes short of a good time and does not bring out the best in you.

Bluejuice

And then of course there is Bluejuice. The guy that told me in another thread in which I took a pro-union position that a proper organization for a guy like me is called N.A.M.B.L.A. Having no idea what he was talking about, I did a search and found to my disgust what he was referring to. It is so sick and disgusting, I will let the rest of you look it up if you are so inclined. Quite frankly, I am disturbed as to how he knew what it was and would reference it. Perhaps he needs a psych. evaluation.

To elaborate on his statement above, yes UAL hired very low time pilots in the past. However, as with anything contorversial, the truth about it always seems to lie in the middle. To say that UAL "hired a few" is not accurate. On the other hand, making it sound as though they were hired in droves is not accurate either. Just another example of painting with a broad brush to create an unrealistic picture.

It was a joke. I am offended by your being so easily offended.

To correct your statement: I was not intending to make it sound as though they were hired in droves. I believe I said they hired more of that ilk than any other. By the way one of your pilots has an organization that keeps track of this data. Air Inc. I believe his last name is Darby.

You know, I really couldn't tell from your postings!

Some joke. I guess your knowledge of the existence of such an organization comes from your weird internet surfing habits.

Like I said, N.A.M.B.L.A., is for you. The redirection doesn't work.
