Thanks for the kudos. We have a interline agreement with AA and the pilots at both companies are not too happy about it. It started in 2010.

Actually B6 does need partners, although they have a partnership with Lufthansa, Lufthansa has failed to make any further investment in B6. So B6 needs to look elsewhere.

Jetblue has by far the best protect out there (USA). Especially when you look at its size.
I think you will see the downfall of Jetblue if ALPA arrives. ALPA is run by Delta and United and they would love to see a fine airline such as Jetblue go away. Just like when the Delta Moak was looking forward to the demise of USAIR. Delta was in BK and without Usair, there would be many opportunities on the East coast.

I beg to differ considering that 730 pilot here asked to follow the terms of the pea to determine the validity of 3A on our contract. The company violated the terms of their own written pea and filed in new york supreme court to get an injunction forbidding the process that they themselves wrote.

What about our revolving door management? Unrestricted stock grants and multi million dollar contracts for guys like russ chew? Do you know he still gets $12,000 a month in housing allowance?

Over 250 VP's positions that are completely powerless due to a corporate culture that expects you to never open your mouth or be terminated if you do.

A false appearance of 5 values that spin everyones wheels and waste years of peoples lives away from home volunteering for endless committees and projects only to have the results of your hard work be either completely ignored or trashed altogether.

This is public opinion here by all but the few clueless juicers YET we all show up perform our duties and produce for this airline year after year.

Yes the pilots are going to destroy jetblue. All we have and continue to ask for is industry average.. They gave us a raise and then reinvented the fsm and shoved it down our throats bragging that the efficiencies cancelled any outlay to the bod..

Everyone know you are anti ALPA, your statement is not true. Most of us at JetBlue want JetBlue to be successful. Even as management lies to us year after year and breaks promises we accepted in good faith, yet we still provde the best.

Yes, ALPA will help us get a legally binding say in what goes on with our pay, benefits, retirement, work rules. But remember, it will be JetBlue Pilots running our MEC/LEC and JetBlue pilots that will vote for them and future CBA, vs the current committee structure where they beg for changes and the company delivers on only a small percentage of them and delays the rest (to save money).

The bottom line is this pilot group will not changes and will still do the heavy lifting that we do daily to keep JetBlue one of the best. If it were not for the pilots, this place would already be in the toilet operationally. A majority are Pro-ALPA and we are Pro-JetBlue. The two are not opposite ends of the spectrum, they co-exist.

Yes, I just saw in the ALPA magazine the 10 step program to destroying your airline, very simply laid out. The sooner you realize that your mgmt destroyed US Air, not DAL, not UAL (all BK as well by the way) the better you will sleep at night. ALPA national did nothing but ensure you and AWA had a path to an SLI, after it didn't go your way, you picked up your toys and left ALPA, blaming them? ALPA is a framework, your own pilots, leadership make the decisions for US Air, not the pilots of DAL or UAL. If you have chosen unwisely, captitulated to mgmt too many times, etc, you need to look inward.

Oh and BTW, Lee Moak wasn't DALPA until well after US Air's third trip through BK. But keep up with the ALPA blame game, it absolves US Air pilots of their own leadership failures and US Air's lack of mgmt success.

Ironic enough I flew on 4 different airlines this past week.

1. JB
2. Air Tran
3. Usair
4. Jet Blue

JB was good and so was USAIR. Air tran was average.

Delta was horribly late again. They appear to have the most issues of any airline I ride on. I ride Delta about 40 flights per year on average.

JB will have growing pains and will end up with a union some day. Hopefully this won't affect their service. USIAR pilots got hosed by the company and by ALPA (but this hasn't affected their service to their customers).

Industry average wages? What do our 190 pilots make-- um, industry leading wages... Be careful what we ask for... My prediction when ALPA comes to Jetblue:

First contract-- Concessionary. How? What do we bring to the table in a NEGOTIATION? Everything. So if we want better benefits, pay, work rules, job protection, etc-- something will be given up, that's what a negotiation is given how our management has come out clearly stating their dissatisfaction with a third party, they will "negotiate" with a heavy hand. Ask an American pilot if he gets pay protection for a disrupted trip (NO). Ask a United pilot how much his deadhead pay is (50%)...Additionally, it better be at least a 3-5% wage increase because if not, my dues alone will make the contract concessionary.

How long? My bet is it will take 1-2 years to "negotiate" the first contract maybe its good for 3-5 years. Then, when age 65 starts taking hold and the stiffer requirements for new pilots too, the industry will be looking for pilots. Average pay will go up with supply going down. And we'll be locked in a contract with no ability to see our average wage go up until the contract expires! Which will take 5 years to "negotiate" the next contract like Airtran-- so we're locked in to potentially 10 years on this first contract!!! (half the flying career in me left in this first contract).

Job protection? Ask ALPA how they kept the Midwest, TWA, ATA, Lynx jobs or if airlines like Comair, Independence go their directions, or all these airlines protected from furlough-- UAL, CAL, DAL, NWA, AMR, Alaska, Airtran, Spirit...

The new ALPA... What will it look like when UAL-CAL and NWA-DAL start their own unions? If I had 13000+ pilots in a work group, there is every bit the incentive to start our own union to battle our own interests while keeping our money in our organization. What will ALPA look like when these guys leave? How much will our dues have to go up to maintain their fixed costs then?

730+/- slightly over 1/3 of us, are the one's involved with a suit against the company for pay violations.

E190 crews make peer set industry average wages for the category of aircraft the company agreed the E190 fits into.

That is how SWA with only 737 can be used to compare the A320 rates.

I know you only want to compare E190 to E190. If that is your logic then following your logic would mean only comparing A320 to A320 and leaving out DAL (pre-NWA merger), SWA and Alaska 737 rates and averaging the A320 rates of only UAL, Airwarys and AWA.

If PCRB, CBC and company used your logic for both the E190 and A320 then JetBlue A320 rates are industry leading too.

E190 is a Category 1 Aircraft
A320 is a Category 2 Aircraft for the purposes of peer averaging rates.

We are paid peer average for both Category 1 and 2 aircraft.

Blue Bayou uses only the facts that are convenient to him. For example, the 190 as a group 1 aircraft is lumped in with the 717 and DC9, which are flown by Hawaiian, Airtran, and Delta, respectively. The current book and/or TA'd rates for those jets are all above the 190, even though the 190 has greater range and a greater MTOW than either of those jets.

Are we the highest paid 190 drivers? Yep. Does the jet operate in a special mission vacuum that dictates only regional compensation applies? Only in the wet-dreams of management and their lackeys.
