I'm curious. Let's just say, for argument's sake that the captain DID evacuate. Two people got hurt jumping out the main door. One 4 year-old boy just broke a leg, and an 85 year-old woman twisted her ankle, fell to the pavement and suffered a serious concussion and is now in a coma with a doubtful outcome. Not likely mind you, but possible.

How many of you Chuck Norris Wannabes out there would be beating your chest about how YOU would have acted like a REAL CAPTAIN and kept them on the airplane.

Seems to me this shouldn't have been a problem, the ERJ is the same airframe as the Legacy. Those Signature people are pretty good when it comes to dumping lavs.
