Dead on and well said!

I'm a cross dressing magician and juggler from Pattaya and really thank my Buddha for finding such a delightful group of people as has been demonstrated time again here on FlightInfo. It has helped with my English and grammar all get out and the patience exhibited by everyone is appreciated. In a few more years, I will learn and be able to "impose my will on mgmt" and shout "no concessions" or "what about my QOL" (what does this mean?), "company doesn't need profits, give us raises...we're professionals!", "old guys...retire and make room for me!" and other sayings that are so popular here, but so foreign to me.

Do you practice your dribble in front of a mirror before you post it. ;)

Sorry, couldn't resist.

"Dribble"? Like with a basketball? Did you by chance mean drivel, or are you fantasizing about gret in his shorts again?

Careful X-rated. It is not P.C. to single out the , um, shall we say SPECIAL people.

Actually I was parodying a similar post authored by gret, where he uses the same word with the same spelling. http://forums.flightinfo.com/showthread.php?t=152240&page=3 Seemed kind of ironic to me at the time. Who knows.

But, lets say I had inadvertently misspelled the word. Would that make me a bad person, "special" or otherwise. I've always hated the spelling "straw man", not only because it's intellectually dishonest, but because its just lazy.

As to your second point. Yea I was fantasizing about gret in his shorts again. I'm gay, really gay. Is your homophobia covering something?

I just knew that big phallic avatar of yours was just a beard. ;) It will be our little secret.

Oh, lighten up Francis. It was a harmless joke directed at you personally not any group or lifestyle. Thought it was especially ironic that Mr Thesaurus was blatantly misusing a similar sounding word. - I didn't see gret's post on the other thread.

Yes, airplanes are phallic. I like airplanes, so I'm gay. Gotcha.

Dribble versus drivel

I believe, to be 100% correct, I should have used the word “drivel”. Dribble is a variant of drivel, but I probably used it in a way it wasn’t meant to be.

That being said, and after exhaustive research, others may have made the same mistake-
  1. Dribbling $hit, refers to a conversation where what one person is saying either makes no sense or is of little importance to anything... (completely Irrelavant)..used mostly by Australians
  2. 2. fig. foolish talk or ideas; nonsense: don't believe a word of that dribble. This whole sentence is dribble-drabble.
  3. “This dribble is the same policy of a welfare state that has not worked in any country at any time. alright now ...” Elizabeth Edwards: McCain's health care proposal is a 'disaster.'
  4. “What I think is even worse are the morons that just echo the dribble from the right-wing hate machine, and support that crap no matter ho disgusting or idiotic the statements are.” Think Progress » Chavez Attacks U.S. Efforts In Haiti: ‘They Are Occupying Haiti Undercover’
  5. “I take it left wing dribble is OK with you, though.” Safety in lakeside

Henceforth, I will use the word drivel…as in…”Do you practice your drivel in front of a mirror to see how silly you sound?...or if agitated, or have consumed a gin and tonic, I will use…”get a pair of pliers and extract your head from you butt before you put forth such drivel.”
