database=objective?
Lifter:
Here are some opinions (worth what you paid):
1. You have plenty of time to be competitive at jetBlue. Its just a matter of time before you bubble up.
2. Computer bases are not objective, because they are programmed by humans and most humans have an agenda. They can easily manipulate the programming to spit out whatever type of pilot they are looking for at that particular time. I am NOT saying that this is a bad thing. Total flight time isn't even objective, because there are so many different ways that people log it. (mil vs civ, dual received, etc etc etc)
3. I would be careful in the interview that you will eventually get with the logbook discrepancy. It sounds a little like you are blaming the AF for not keeping accurate enough records for you so you could get a job after you retired.
4. You have an ATP so you must have had some aspirations of a commercial flying job post AF, however slight or far removed, so the impetus was on you to keep your logbook straight. Go in with only what you can prove with a log. You should be doing everything you can while you wait to re-create your log as best you can, and determine some way to handle any discrep a little more delicately than blaming it on the AF. Maybe Albie has some ideas on how to do that.
Don't mean to flame, just some observations from your insightful post.
Good Luck.
