Isn't it the captain's choice to let them on their AC?
Our company is in CASS, and an American Eagle pilot wanted/needed a ride to our destination to meet up with his wife and kids who were already there at 5 am Saturday morning. There's no other commercial flights that weekend into there. He called our company, got run through the CASS system, and we checked his ID. Even though he wasn't on a reciprocal agreement with our company but was still in the CASS system it was the captain's decision. He was a great guy, didn't "expect" to get a ride and we were able to take him. So we did. So That morning he was able to meet his wife and kids which I was happy for him to be able to do.
Then, I got bitched out by another pilot from our company for letting him ride because we don't have a reciprocal agreement with their airline.
If they're good people and we're all in the cass system, why should we get bitched out for letting good people trying to get home to their family? Maybe we should all get over which airline we work for and try and help each other out wherever we work.
