We will start interviewing active FO pilots this fall who wish to resign and come to FJ.

Well crap! Ex-RTA and a line Pilot at FLOPs. Looks like I bet on the wrong horse, yet again. Company hasn't said anything, nor has our Union. I guess Revision 2 of the FOG is all we get. I'm deep into my 10hrs rest, so can't spend much time pondering it.
The thought of interviewing to become a 1st year FO at FLEX is not how I thought this aviation career would play out.

Let's not jump to conclusions just yet.
They may be offering interviews and job positions if you resign from Flops for people that maybe want to go over to the Flex side and fly Bombardier products.
From what TWA says, which is vague in nature of why, it doesn't mean that Flops is done.
With new 350's and 605's coming, and also IF the XO deal is done, all the 300's from them, that is a influx of airplanes. Instead of immediately going to the streets, just as they have with the Flops furlough's, their first offers could be for Flops guys to decide if they want to move over to Flex.

I don't think this is meant as a sign of the end of FO.

There will be pretty good growth on the FJ side of the list and just like we did with your furloughed pilots management feels that it is fair to offer interviews to anyone who would want to come over.

SC, if you are truly a 99 hire and love the union I cannot imagine that this would be of interest to you.

I have no clue how many current FO pilots might be interested, but I am sure there will be a few. I believe this is being done to help them, not as a sign that FO is done.

Let's say 25 FO pilots come to FJ. Assuming you are adequately staffed and not losing airplanes that would mean a potential for 25 furloughed FO pilots to come back to FO. These would be 25 furloughed pilots that didn't want to interview at FJ.

Sounds like a win/win. The active pilot who wants to come to FJ gets to ans the furloughed pilot who wants to come back to FO gets to also.

I haven't heard any official details. I am sure you guys would hear them first since they apply to you making a decision, not us.

I think it would be ironic if Shane's interviewed here and got the job since I have zero clue who this joker is.

Lets see interview at FJ go to bottom of list and have my pay frozen for 15 years..Awesome deal!!! When can I start..I am sorry for everything I said in my past posts TWA PLEASE PLEASE HIRE ME!!!!

I agree, at first when I read your post of interviews at Flex, I jumped to the worst. But I agree with that is how it will most likely play out.

I can tell you from the sounds of being at the bottom, pay frozen, etc... No I would not make a move over to Flex.
My seniority # offers me benefits that a bigger pay couldn't offset.

Pro-Union. No Thank You.

I have been involved in the interview process.

We will start interviewing active FO pilots this fall who wish to resign and come to FJ.

I would never use anything said on here to sway my decision in the interview process, plus I have no clue who any of these jokers are.

Asside from your views on being pro union, I am sure you are all professional pilots who would do well at FJ.

So, how does that work?

If a pilot from Flight Options is pro-union does he even get called?

Or better yet, he makes it to the interview and you ask, "How do you feel about signing an employment agreement?" Will his answer affect your recommendation to hire?

Simply put, does union affiliation negate his ability to get an offer of employment?

Be honest. No liars here.

It's probably better that way, don't think we are going to have a KCAK base.

I don't feel that union affiliation would be a deal breaker.

I really don't see any huge pro union FO pilots wanting to leave for FJ.

As far as I know you must sign the employment agreement when you are hired.

Based on my experiences doing interviews...that's not even a legal question to ask. Regardless of the answer...

Thought you didn't know who I was ? But you mention kcak? Lies effect your credibility TWA. I know that TWA won't get this but let me ask this question to the rest of the fj guys. If KR is willing to staple 13-25yr employes to the bottom of the list and freeze there pay what do you think the future holds for a bunch of guys he doesn't even know and a company he hasn't even owned a year with no contract protection? (Come on TWA please hire me? I will be a good little soldier and kiss ass everyday. I promise)

Reference

Not based on your experience, please sight the reference where it is illegal to ask an interviewee "how they feel about signing an employment agreement."

Better yet, take it one step further and sight the illegality of an "at will" employee asking an interviewee how they feel about union representation.

Deal Breaker

Not a "deal breaker." That's nice. But could be a factor in determination for an employment offer.

Company says they will interview Flight Options furloughed pilots for Flexjet employment. Interviews and hiring was/is not in seniority order.

So, management has not told interviewees/new hires that their union affiliation or disaffiliation affects or could affect them being offered a job?

I said "I think". I am never part of the panel that does the face to face, so I have no idea what is asked. I can't imagine FJ not hiring someone because they are active in the IBT. That is just my opinion.

The furloughed pilots were called in seniority order as far as I know. So far we have reached out to the first 100+/-

You sir are an idiot.

Guess who just outed himself.

I went through your seniority list and saw what I thought were 2 pilots with the first name of Shane. I didn't recognize either name so I had a 50/50 shot. Best part of this is now anybody who wants to know who you are can just look you up.

Genius

Well, let's look at KRs history. What happened when RTA union organizers where terminated? Do you really think that Flexjet will hire individuals they know have been active participants in the union?

Where did you get your information about Flexjet calling furloughed Flight Options pilots in seniority order? Better yet, who informed your that it was 100 +/-?

You are either seriously misinformed or where lied too. So, what's the source of you information?

They were contacted in seniority order. We reached out to the top 100 or so.

What's the source of your information that contradicts this?
