Well, so far, Flops furloughed 104 pilots in November, then another 63 the other day, now they announce that they will no longer be matching 401k contributions. I guess having the lowest labor cost in the industry isn't good enough! I wonder WTF is next ???

Didn't you hear? Its only temporary. ;)

NJ Middle East is hiring. 35 on 31 off.

If I needed a job I would do it in heartbeat. Seeing as not much is available in the States right now.

In 1998, I was flying out of Saudi Arabia (working with National Air Services which is NJ partner in Saudi) and Kuwait ... for less money on a 2 months on 3 weeks back home deal.

NJ Middle East...

...looks like a pretty good gig if you're ready to move. A single guy -or someone prepared to be away from the fam could probably make a bunch 'o money fast.

NJ-ME sounds like a good plan B, since it feels like I am a employee on the Titantic. I guess that it is one more thing that we will have to negotiate for at the tables. I wonder what we'll have to give up to get it back???

You guys need to prepare for the worst. The writing is on the wall and it doesn't look. NJME is a good deal if you can move somewhere closer to Saudi Arabia. You can live wherever you want as long you understand that the company will only pay for economy seats. Hell, you could always try living right where you are for a while and see how it works. That's a ********************load of frequent flier miles baby!

Literally everything here relates to the timeframe to get the country back on a positive economic outlook, the change of perspective necessary. If it takes a year, FLOPS will have trouble making it.

Genius, pure Genius. Once again publishers knows all that is ailing us. Don't you have some flogged out 727's to trade or something? The real question about flops is whether the pilots will accept a way substandard contract in fear of doors closing or stand up for what we rightfully deserve, equall pay and benefits. I would rather die on my feet than down on my knees. If they can't compete on an equal playing field I guess the laws of nature will kick in and the other fractionals will prosper from us shutting down. Now, back to your flight attendant training school boy.

word is HIG has given Flops Management till sep 09 to turn things around or they are going to Liquidate the company. So no need to worry about 401k or a contract at this point..Hope its not true but I would be polising my resume

doesnt matter what the Econimist predict.. Its what HIG wants to happen with there company and how long there willing to lose money before they cut there losses..Like so many other businesess have done lately

no not on the board..But a secret is only a secret until 2 people know it..I have heard FLOPS management is well aware of whats expected..You think there going to announce it publicly? Hey guys we got till sept..Everybody stick around and work real hard till then..

I guess we must know some of the same people. I heard that HIG was giving our management until August to get the contract done, and things straitened out or they would "liquidate" us and make a profit while doing it.....oh wait, that was last August, and $hietfingers scheme of fear tactics and bogus "rumors" failed to get us to accept a crappy contract.

This company can be turned around. But it won't happen overnight, and it won't happen with a crappy contract. If management invests in our pilots, our customers will invest in us.

Hey shanes if you really believe that I would use up all your vacation and call in sick for the rest of it because you will lose it all when they liquidate the OCC and park the airplanes. We will not attract any new owners with the current management-pilot relations in the gutter. Wouldn't it be refreshing to fire the lawyers running this ship and settle with the pilots, what a great story that would make in AIN. The more likely story will be Ricci's second version of management by trust titled, "You can trust your'e gonna get screwed by management."

what sucks is they quit matching your 401k, but management still gets paid for piss poor perfomance.

no wonder they get fcked into getting a union.

This is EXACTLY what Ford and Harrison want...

I think the DNR on FLOPS is getting signed.

You see, they were 35 out of 36 in busting Union Organizing campaigns before they came up against the Flight Options Pilots. Then they were 35 out of 37!

If Flight Options goes under, F & H can claim that although the Election was lost, it never resulted in a Contract.

Flight Options Management has been listening to Ford and Harrison and Babbling Bob for far too long.

Its time to take Santulli's lead, cut the lawyers loose, and settle with your Pilots. That is, if Management truly wants the company to survive.
