Excellent point -- let us not all forget that none of this would even be discussed right now if it weren't for all the fighting NJA and their union have been doing on behalf of all pilots.

At Flex we have been trying to get agreement on QOL issues for years that now are just started to be considered by management in light of the NJA contract. If Montreal approved 7/7 a long time ago and we have been clamoring for it, why not until now. (which by the way we are still not gonna get...) If they are going to be so quick to approve a reduced schedule and we've been begging for at least 3 years that I know of, why all the sudden are we getting listened to -- cuz of the union...

But we can't leave it all up to NJA and hope our other companies follow suit. The time to unionize Flex, Flops and CS is NOW!!!

Not a bad Idea

Sup.

Any thoughts on what it's going to take to keep a Union out of Flex. Or is it too late? Yeah, we can keep on hopin' that our company will match what the NJA union does or we can blaze our own trails.

It will be interesting to see. ....
Me...I think Flex dropped the ball years ago in terms of crew relations. No matter what they come up with, IT (as always) will be too little toooo LATE.

1108 is on the horizon, if we know what's good for us.

Stay Hard!!!

life is great at Flex. We are down to 16.3 days a bid period, we only work 9.8 hrs a day, we have the ability to bid up to 19 or 20 days a bid period and throw a overtime day in , you can make all kinds of cash. then you can afford that viagra

Hey Guys-!!!!!!!!!

Although we are professionals, we see our children grow up in pictures.

I really enjoy flying with the majority of people here. We go a great job, make people happy, and safely accomplish the task.

But can we keep quality people?

Jimmy,

No we can not keep the good people. Some more are leaving as we write.

I agree with you totally. Maybe this will be a turning point for the management pilot relations. I almost had a hard time typing that.

This is purely a guess but, I bet we get a pay raise with no change in work days. We'll keep the 17 days a month and maybe see a good pay raise. I suppose if that happens though the raise better be significant or there might be a mass exodus from what I've been hearing.

I left this week. I loved the folks I worked with and the airplane I was flying. Short term it is a good place to work.... good equiptment, use to have good benies, great flight crews. But I don't see it as long term career. What a shame.

I think of flex as a long term place but man, there are alot of bitter people here. This netjets deal has really turned up the heat and added fuel to the fire. The more people I talk to on the line it seems like the consensus is that most of us feel management will not step up to the plate on this deal. People think that it will fall short of what is expected and will only be just enough to suffice a few. Hopefully this will not be the case. Also the fact that our financial reports come out the same week as this meeting can't help. I just hope we don't hear the "well, you can see for yourself on these reports that we just can't afford blah blah blah"

Must remain optimistic and hope for something great out of this deal. 6 more days and we'll know the direction flex will be taking in the future.
