Good question CL. The company has been "slow walking" the negotiations. The sooner the pilot groups are combined, the sooner the bottom line will grow for the company, hence their push to get it done sooner vs. later. The delay comes when protections have to built in for ALL the pilots and the company doesn't agree.
With all of he issues that are going on at NJ you would think that KR would want to get the Flex/FO unification and negotiations done right away so as to take advantage of settled labor situation when he starts to go after NJ.
If there is a delay he could be getting the Gulfstreams right at the time the temperature is rising with the Flex/FO work force. Just as it is starting to at NJ.
Will he miss this opportunity? My guess is yes.
