By the way, the cursing and name calling doesn't speak very highly to your ability to discuss anything in an intelligent manner. KR is going to keep chipping away at what you have, little by little so it won't seem too awful (until you look back and realize that cumulatively he's taken A LOT). A union can help, but your starting point will have already been greatly reduced and you'll then have to fight for things you always had and never thought would be taken.

I think maybe your food coma from your Christmas feast hasn't quite worn off yet. You seem to be involved in a conversation that doesn't actually involve me. Let me help clear a few things up for you and maybe you'll understand a little better because you have obviously missed the point of my posts.

1) I don't work for FLOPS or Flex, so I have nothing to do with any vote there. I worked for KR for 6.5 years before I came to NJA. I have personally experienced his brand of "fair" treatment for years. After I left, he continued with the exact same crap with the FLOPS folks as I experienced. In fact, the complaints seem to have gotten worse over the years. My point, which has escaped you entirely, is that those who have dealt with KR for years, myself included, have been trying to explain how KR operates, but a lot of you seem to want to ignore that and believe otherwise. Okay, that's your prerogative. I was only trying to help by providing information and putting forth my OPINION of what the Flex pilots would need to do to protect yourselves. My apologies if it came across differently.

2) At no point was I ever addressing just YOU. Where you got this idea is beyond me. At no point have I presumed to say that I know what YOU are thinking. I was actually responding to this thread, and others, where some Flex guys here have started talking about things KR has changed, or taken away, that weren't to your advantage. My point is that it's only going to get worse. One poster mentioned something about if KR tried a certain action regarding moving pilots around that the post office would be flooded with union cards in no time. Again, my point is that if you (meaning all the pilots at Flex) are waiting for "one more thing" to get a card drive started then you're (again, the pilots at Flex, not you personally, just so you don't get confused anymore about that) already very late getting it started.

3) You (yes this time I'm directly addressing just you) seem really angry. If it's posts like mine that are getting your blood pressure up so much maybe you should think about a break from these boards (I'm not here much, only come on sporadically, so if you wait a short time I'll be gone again). However, if it's the stuff going on with your job right now maybe you should be asking yourself where the source of all this stress is coming from. The FLOPS pilots havent created this situation, KR did. If you think some vote about a single transportation system is going to clear a bunch of stuff up, then you've swallowed, all the way down to the base of the shaft, exactly what KR is slipping to you. So have your vote. I'll put $100 out here right now in a bet that after the vote, no matter how it goes, there'll be a never ending parade of other issues designed to keep the pilots riled up, discontent, and at each others throats.

I usually enjoy your posts. Normally you have a good grasp of things. You just seem to be a little off base with attacking me. I really am trying to help. It'd be great to see the entire fractional industry having a race to the top. I was only expressing an opinion of what I think is necessary to beat KR. He isn't your friend and doesn't give a crap about any of his pilots, not even the ones who are SFO's. Sorry you took my posts any other way.

This is a stupid post. We don't need a card drive, we need a vote on single transportation system.

Well , not so quick. The people that are pushing for this premature single carrier vote are not keeping themselves well informed. A fence agreement has not been finalized. I'm sure you don't want to rush things and end up being on the Flight Options pay scale. But then that's ok, because Uncle can blame your pay cut on the big bad union.
 
Cabbie, I'll buy that explanation as long as you aren't blaming us at Flex for delaying this. The above post certainly contains a lot of blame for us, when we are stuck with the timeline you're now referring to.
 
Absolutely not. Uncle and his lawyers are very shrewd. He can afford to buy some of the best and we have learned not to fall for his bait and switch tactics. You have to ask the question, " Why is the company and their minions pushing so hard for single carrier prior to the fence agreement being finalized?"
 
GC, when will the fence agreements be done? I for one would like to see the IBT get on with the single carrier filing so that we as a collective company can move forward and get this over with whether we are going to be a union shop or not.
 
You know what is sad. I used to come on here for entertainment. Now I come here for accurate information because I can't get it from the company.

Good question CL. The company has been "slow walking" the negotiations. The sooner the pilot groups are combined, the sooner the bottom line will grow for the company, hence their push to get it done sooner vs. later. The delay comes when protections have to built in for ALL the pilots and the company doesn't agree.
