I've never understood why it is, when one company doesn't have a UNION, that that is what we need. Is it because misery loves company? Everyone has an opinion, but don't keep trying to force your lifestyle onto others that wish not to be part of that lifestlye.

First of all, you probably don't work for Flexjet or your a first year CL300 f/0, which is most certainly a step up from your previous position. Otherwise your comments would not be lacking the basic understanding of what things have been like in the past and are currently here. Flexjet is a great place to work but it can and needs to be better. A contract is the first step in that direction.

I also was not aware that working for a company with representation and a contract is a lifestyle, thanks for that insight.

Finally, forcing that lifestyle with 4 posts? Gimme a break! Trust me dude, if I was trying to force something on you, you would feel it.

We sit around like dogs waiting to see what scraps are thrown our way. It will be more of the same. They will throw some money at us, probably less than they should. They will not make changes to rest and duty rules, gateways, insurance or anything else we have all asked for. I am sure they will say the CAB is going to work on everything not addressed after the meeting. The CAB has done nothing. There is alot of cheerleading going on from some CAB members, but ask them what they have accomplished over the past 5 years. It is time we stop begging for change and take control and make the change.
 
The CAB has been asked what they accomplished in the last year on th BB. With some contention they threw out first day work rules and a new gateway. The first is true. The second is highly debatable.

I'm not going to get into it, but I put little stock in what non-elected employees with no authority to negotiate can do with a management group that is happy to give them a few scraps each year.

How can removing the only West Coast domicile be viewed as an improvement by anyone? Denver is great for some but by removing ONT you exclude a huge group of pilots who might want to live on the West Coast. Let's hope you also see some domicile improvement because Netjets looks far more appealing to the types of pilots Flexjet wants to attract...

The entire industry can only benefit from another frac raising the bar.
 
Raising the bar is highly overrated. You are in a business with only 4 players, one which is dominant and has its own unique business, 2 which are really manufacturer owned and serve their marketing objectives, one which has totally abandoned their original used aircraft model in desparate search for something that might work. That leaves out the Avantair group which marches to their own drum. Netjets is going to set the bar and the others will do their best to be near them, however, are mostly too far from the logistical plateau to make the work rules identical. In the end, Netjets will drive all others, no raising the bar, just trying not to get hung to it.
 
It won't be out for a few hours I'm sure. The meeting didn't even start until 2pm central so, a few hours after that and it will hit the airways.
