I don't know yet. I, no kidding, just got the message that KD called and have yet to talk to her.Tanner said:What dates are they offering?
propjob27 said:For the meet n greet question guys:
Did meet n greet in ANC: Feb of 05.
Called for interview: Oct of 05. (8 month time span)
Class date: January of 06.
And yes, Buck, if your times are correct in your profile, then that's VERY low for a straight civilian guy. (I had 6000 total, and the other civ guys in my interview group had about the same)
Definately keep updating the app!
Are classes conducted at night??? I heard the person who draws the shortest straw get the sims in the day. Is this true??
I heard classes start at 10 PM???
Uppercrust, if you are having a spaz already about going to work at 10pm, maybe Fedex isn't for you
propjob27 said:I was thinking that exact same thing. Who knows, maybe he hasn't applied.
Ninerfan said:Have heard a persistent rumor that the next seat bid will cover a longer time period...perhaps 2 years. Also, I keep hearing a rumor that new hires would be seat locked for two years. I am not in favor of either approach but thought I'd pass the rumor along.

Diesel said:It's probably correct. Remember fedex is like 80+ percent military.
Tomct said:Prop, you say 5000 is to low and yet Newfdxguy only has 2000, that is , if his profile is correct. If that is true, that is totally messed up! I support the military 110%, but that is rediculous!
Tomct said:..............One guy has been in the 121 business for years, the other possibly flying single engine fighters! ( That would be AWESOME!)
AdlerDriver said:So, flying a fighter would be "awesome" BUT, in no way prepare a pilot for the demands of the "121 business".![]()
Now who's being ridiculous (BTW - the little thing in the upper right corner with the "abc" and the √ is a spell check and will help you spell hard words like ridiculous- hopefully you used it on your Fedex app.)
FedEx1 said:Actually, I DON'T think flying a fighter and then going to a 121 carrier is a "lateral" move, meaining the jobs are not equal. Some military guys show up behind the airline power curve. BUT.... they bring other things to the diversity table that are important. Leadership, some seem to have a phd in aerodynamics, instruction experience, etc. They have to hustle a little bit more, learn some new 121/125 stuff and procedures, but it isn't a big deal. That is why they get hired from VFR single pilot fighter to Fedex 2-3 pilot crew airline type job.
Tomct said:Well I mean NO disrespect to the FdEx group, in fact I would LOVE to work there, I am just saying that if those numbers are correct, it is a BIT rediculous!
5000 Vs 2000 hmmmmmmm! One guy has been in the 121 business for years, the other possibly flying single engine fighters! ( That would be AWESOME!)
