Pool....OK, if it is a small group, then either our numbers are off or others have already looked elsewhere. Surprised they would run 2 small classes (14 then 12) back to back but who knows. It would help to know how many got the call from your interview group. I'm still holding out hope for the 11th.....thanks.

Geauxfly, I asked KD how many total in the class and she told me 12. One of my buds on the line told me the next class after mine is supposed to be much bigger (30 SO's). Best of luck to all!

I only really kept in touch with one guy from my group. We both were called today. We were both in the pm session of 5 that made it through. I don't know about the am group of 5, other than they all made it past the sim.

Got the call yesterday for Dec 4 - yessss! Congrats to all. No new info from pilot recruitment -all FE, 12 etc.

Would have posted sooner but my hard drive crashed - talk about forced cold turkey on the FI addiction.

Gents -

727 FO/SO Indoc & training is 10-11 weeks total, depending if there is any type of holiday break involved.

Our class started Mon, 28 Aug and most of us finished up our final training checks this week (you get three - an oral, a sim check and a walk-around check). Most of us start IOE next week.

While some of the sim training has been done off-site (FOs to Miami and SOs to Orlando), the only 727 classes you'll be called for will be classes to Memphis (i.e. there are no separate classes to Miami or Orlando).

The reason you're seeing smaller class sizes in December is because the busiest time at FEDEX is Thanksgiving thru Valentine's Day...alot of pilots who work in training, stds and other office positions are needed on the line to move freight --- taking care of the customer and generating revenue is still more importnat than training us new hires.

Anyway, good luck to all you guys ---- hope you guys get on the property soon and get thru training ---- the quicker you do, the quicker I can get off reserve!

I got the same call for the 11 Dec class date just 2 hours after my drug test call. Sounds like all the FO slots are done with.

So you received two seperate calls, one for the p-test, the other for the class? Maybe they got tired of calling 30 bubbas and combined mine.:)

The FE panel is a good place to spend the first year. Don't sweat it.

As far as I know, everyone (5) in the 2-3 May interview group got the call today.

Interviewed 26-27 April. First call today to update p-test, followed shortly by a second call offering 4 Dec. Of the 5 from our interview group (including me), 2 are in Dec 4 class and 2 are in 11 Dec class. Haven't heard from the 5th guy yet. Congrats to all and good luck!

All 5 from 26-27 April interview group now have class dates. 2 in Dec 4th and 3 in Dec 11th class. Can't wait!
 
This whole thing is bizarre....from the info gathered here, it appears that they went through 27 people to fill a class of 12 for the 4th of Dec (based on Balut's group getting 2 people into that class and that being the cutoff line to begin the 11th of Dec).

Noreaster....I could look back but didn't you interview with Balut? I know Hagar interviewed after the cutoff date. With all of that, just trying to figure out where the class of 30 calls went out to???? I've also heard from someone who knows someone that it's quite possible all the calls have not gone out yet for the 11th? Not sure why but hoping that's true. Thanks again for all the information gathered here.....

Got the call today from KD for 11 Dec class. I know 4 of the 5 of us got the call and waiting on the last to hear. Thanks for all the info. Someone else can have these floaties.....glad to start drying off.

Good to see a Louisiana boy getting called. Hopefully I'll be jumping in the pool before long. Currently waiting on my interview call. Was told it should be sometime after the new year.

I guess our intel was off again... :erm: I was hoping to at least see Airfish with the good news. Airfish? Pee test? anything?

Oh well, January is cool with me. Anyone hear of possible January class dates?

Does anyone know when, and how many classes there will be in January? Will it be all SO, or a mix of FO/SO?
 
Update through 11 Dec class

Here's the update through the 11 Dec class. 4 out of our 5 got called for class. The only rumor I've heard about Jan is that by the end of Jan, all poolies through the end of June should be in class. Don't know if that means 1 or 2 classes.....have also heard hiring number of approx 360 next year. Would figure that Meet/Greets would pick up again by beginning of the year. Good luck to all....going to try to wean myself off the FI habit. Thanks again for all the information. It actually helped to have something.

Anyone know the January class dates???? Bueller, Bueller????
 
Don't think anyone knows, except maybe KD, and probably not even her. Anybody else would just be guessing. When they do start up again after the new year look for week on, week on, 3 weeks off, and then repeat. That is the typical rotation of late.
