150 may have been just for Jan & Feb. They're interviewing 100 a month and historically have hired 70-75%. By that math, there will be 220'ish by the end of Mar and 370'ish by the end of May.XJguy said:Anyone else have any info on this?
I guess if April and May are supposed to be big, and there are 150 poolies, we'll all get to class quickly!!!
I don't see how that's possible when they're interview 100 a month and I know their hiring rate is not that far off the historic rate. (The rate for my interview group was 100%) But, the bigger question for us poolies is when are they going to start calling us for class dates?cgri591982t44a said:Friend interviewed on Mon 3/20 and they were told that there are 98 poolies as of right now.
I'm diggin' that, man! On that note, let's have a beverage!flynines said:I just got back from the interview on 3/21 and was told 150 in the pool, 200 in pool by the end of March. They expect that the pool will be drained possibly in May.
Here is the latest Gucci Building Rumor (the same guy has told me this info twice in as many weeks so it must be trueMsFan said:Empty a pool 200 deep in May? Can FedEx train even half that many in a month? Even if they do start new hire classes again in May, I think it's gonna take a while to drain this pool when you consider new hires are still coming in the door at the rate of 30-70 a month.
Maybe it's my natural pessimism, or the fact that I've been treading water for 2 months now, but I'll believe it when "it's painted purple and sitting on the ramp!"

I assume that the FedEx contract has closed that loop hole, hence the whole problem with releasing the MOAB until every t has been crossed and i been dotted. Is that accurate?

24.E.5.d
If throught the application of Section 24.E.5.c (above), a junior pilot is activated into a crew position for which a senior pilot(s) did not have the opportunity to bid, the eligible senior pilot(s) shall be paid passover pay in the same manner described in Section 24.D.2.b.....
Hence the delay....
4 of the guys in my group got their pool letter exactly 2 weeks after the interview, the other 2 of us got it at exactly 3 weeks. It's been all over the map in terms of timing. The shortest time I've heard was 2 weeks. The longest about 4 1/2 weeks. That's for both pool letters and rejection letters.71KILO said:.....how long have most guys been waiting from the interview until they jump in the deep end for extended purple dog-paddling? or not...
