Do not hang out at the FBO. Go grab a bite or cup of coffee. Longer than six hours, go get a hotel room.

As for NetJet in FBO lobby ... I have seen not crews their be anything but just regular crews. Nothing special about they way they act.

And if you use your cell phone, go outside. Quit being a self important A-hole talking loudly into your phone while we are trying to watch Faux News.

Trust me the Flight Options pilots would rather been waiting for their flights in the hotel rather then the FBO.

During Thanksgiving in PBI there were no fewer then 30 flight Options pilots on standby at the FBO!!!!

I heard that FBO started calling Flight Options and telling them that Galaxy and JET Aviation in TEB are not Day Care centers.

As if the cell phone "screamers" arent bad enough, For God's sake, if you walk into the crew lounge and its reallly quiet and the lights and TV are off, just maybe, and I'm using deductive reasoning here, someone is trying to sleep. Do not come through the door like gang busters, flick on the lights and then look at me and say "oops, my bad, were you sleeping??" No professor, I really have nothing more important to do after getting up at 0330, than to sit motionless in a dark, quiet room.

get a hotel room if you want/need to sleep.

and for those who walk around with wireless headsets --- WTF are you thinking?

freaking dorks.

How about the guys who start both engines, and just sit there. Are you guys filing a flight plan, getting a standard pilot WX briefing, AND doing the first flight of the day checklist? The fractional guys are the worst in those straight wing Citations. And why do the line guys where I go, always complain about Flight Options Pilot tipping the least and being the rudest? The bad part is that there are so many of these pilots making a bad name for themselves.

Not trying to flame, but do FLOPS pilots get reimbursed for their line tips. I know that I wouldn't be as generous of a tipper if I didn't get reimbursed.

i never tip line guys? but then again all they ever do is just fuel me. is this considered cheap? i will tip them if they drive me to the hotel.

Tip? For what? Doing their job like they are suposed to do? Ill tip if they do something not expected as normal routine. Drive to hotel, lav, etc. Tipping for things that are normally considered part of their job is just reinforcing normal behaior. If you just start tipping so you arent considered cheap, you might as well also tip the girls at the desk for picking up the phone or submitting your fuel order to the lineman. Its their job to do that. Its why they have a job.

I know that in the Bravo, it takes forever(seems like) for the gyros to come up to speed. This takes place after the avionics master is turned on in the after-start flow.
