I went back to check my file on the website and there was no record of it. I know I completed the first phone interview successfully and got the "you will receive a call from someone in 30-60 days" bit. Has anyone else had this happen or know what it means.
I checked my profile on the Express web site yesterday and it stated that my last appt. was on the 29th of Jan. I called the recruitment number to make sure that I had not missed a call, and he said that the date shown for the appt. is the date their company sent my info over to the main office at Express for review. After that it is out of their hands. Hope that helps some of ya. Good luck!
I'm also interviewing on the 10th but have to travel down the afternoon before. Looks like it is a fairly short process for this first interview since my flight out departs IAH shortly after noon on the interview day. Does that coincide with anyone else's schedule?
I hope everything goes well, really looking forward to a chance to become part of XJT especially at a time like this.
Shortly after noon? Not sure if this makes a difference, but I'm inteviewing on the 11th, and I was told my interview wouldn't start until 1pm? Maybe they're splitting the day up into two parts, interviews in the morning, return home by noon...........interviews in the afternoon, return home by late afternoon? Makes sense, able to get more in and out.
Interviews will start at either 9 am or 1 pm, Ms. Dawn sent all the details over the Email, including a time grid (Multi by type and night and instrument on type), Single engine cumulative with night and instrument.
Second interview 1/2 weeks after 1st, with (i think) offer there and then or shortly after.
Class I belive was set to be March 8th, but might have had date wrong.
I am going 9th am, anybody that want to meet just before please contact me as my return flight leaves shortly after 1 pm
All the best to ALL and i this turn out better then my previous experience, they seem to be really polite and pleasant
where are you getting the info on the second interview? in my email, i cannot find anything about a second interview. The info on this board is usually right(or close), but it seems curious to send a person to iah twice within 2-3 weeks.
My info on the second interview came straight from Dawn Daniels' mouth, via the phoneline. I've not yet received an email from her. I hope some of you guys on the 9th post some quick gouge for the rest of us.
Is everyone's e-mail only 3 pages with no application? Just general instructions on flight info, what to bring, and the flight grid? Just making sure I am not missing anything.
Yes it is only 3 pages. One and a 1/4 page of information, and a flight time grid sheet. That is all I got, Did you get the call this morning too for a friday 13th interview? I guess it's a good thing i'm not too superstitious.
Hey everyone, I am new to this site, but have found it to be full of great info.
I have an interview w/ XJT on the 12 I fly down the day before and don't depart till 6pm that day sounds a little different from what ive seen
was wondering for some imput...I did not have my restricted radio-telephone operating permit, but have since done the online application. I have got a printed compy of my new permit, and am hopping the original will arrive in time....think i should be worried?
Thanks
PS I would deffenitaly throw down for some beer for the guys doing earlier interviews.
i thought i saw somewhere that the copy of application for the FCC operators permit was good. The one i am worried about is the Passport...I don't have one, and to get one by next week you must have a departure itenerary for international travel according to the post office, so maybe i'm screwed.
The passport process usually takes a long time, the US cogs of government move slowly. However, if you live near a large metropolitan area, SF., LAX, Chicago, NY etc. look in the government section of your telephone book and look for State Dept, Passport Office. They might be able to expidite the process. Be aware of what you need and have all of the necessary parts, application, photo, birth certificate and possibly social security etc. Good luck and save some beer for me.
I have my interview on the 9th in the am. My flight doesn't leave back until sometime after 7pm. If any of you guys or gals are stuck around or some of the later interviews want to grab some dinner at the airport, let me know. I'll be bored out of my mind. About the passport. I got mine post 911 in about a week through Miami. There used to be an option to pay an additional amount for expedited processing. Hope this helps.
I think a lot of us are in the same boat with the FCC RR Permit and Passport getting processed on time, it was kinda quick notice on when the interviews were being conducted, less than 2 weeks notice for me, but you gotta be flexible in this industry. Anyone else got the morning of the 11th? I'll see you guys there and good luck!! BTW, I'm bringing whatever paper evidence I have of both the RR Permit and the Passport at least being processed, what else can you do?
i got hired at xjet back in 99 so things could be different now,, but we had to have our radio telephone operators permit and passport on day 1 of training, not the interview...i did bring the bottom half of the application for the radio telephone permit (considered to be a temporary one till you get the real one) and proof that i had applied for my passport for my interview...hope this helps!
