For everyone who has been given a date to interview, what are you doing to prepare for the first round? Does anyone think that this will be basically a meeting discussing HR stuff? Any ideas?
As far as I understand though, the last time express was hiring you had two interviews in one day, a morning and an afternoon. Now they are doing to interviews on two different days with a wekk or two between them.... So the process may be a little different. Hopefully, its not the old confrontational style ; )
I got the call two days ago for an interview on the 16th. Haven't received the email with all the info yet. Keep the posts on the interview coming. We all appreciate it.
I did the online app on 12/25, yes dull holiday, and the phone interview on 12/26. My last appointment date is 12/29 on the website, and still no call. Anybody have a similar situation. Also, there is some specualtion that multi time is a consideration, I have over 1000, so don't know if it is.
if your info was sent to express from people scout on the 29th, as mine was, its probably (hopefully) too soon to expect a call. Late this week or next week is my guess - although I am suffering the wait too.....
I got a call from Dawn moving my interview up to the 5th, just two days! She said if I came early, would be able to complete both interviews the same day. They are running the first class on Feb 16th. If anyone else has the same situation, please pm me.
1st class on the 16th! Outstanding. The last class of recalls starts that day, also. Glad to read that training is staying hot. Can't wait to see you folks on the line!
And now I guess the 1st interview date is the 5th.
Well, I talked to the VP of HR again, and it sounds like you guys are on the right track. Apparently, they're going to have every applicant meet Express' VP of Flt Ops (very cool guy) and President . . . thus the two separate interview dates. There may be times when those two will be able to make it during the first day's interview . . . thus the possibility of one interview date for some applicants. The 'other' part of the interview will apparently consist of the typical HR and line pilot interview type stuff. One thing that was stated over and over as I got this information was that, after what's happened to everyone since 9/11, they will be watching closely for anyone who's gotten "bitter". So, blow a whole bunch of sunshine up your own a$$es before you go in . . . 'life is great, life is great', ad infinitum. As for class dates, apparently there are two slots open in the recall class of 2/16. Beyond that, who knows? From the seniority movement we're seeing from the inside, this whole thing's about to go ballistic. I go to 're-upgrade' 4/26! I look forward to having some of you as my 'gear bitches', since I've been one for over four years now!! Good luck, everybody!
Yeah, my original interview date was the 9th. I didn't recieve an email from Dawn for my new itenerary. I called Continental and they still have me booked for the 8th. I'll call in the morning to verify, but should be flying out tomorrow. I'll post the gouge as soon as I can reach a computer. With all of the beer I should be recieving, should be able to drink for free for a year.
Mine is on the 16th ... but I cant make it as I will be on the road with my current job for the next 2 months ... If I dont go, can I try again in the summer or will I be black listed forever ?
Can anyone pm me Dawn's phone number, or a number to someone close to her office, I've yet to recieve my email, and my interview is Wednesday, Thanks in advance, and I must say, everyone on these xjt posts seems to be a great, we should have fun!
Go to the FCC.gov website and fill out.. the 605 form, then you will have to do the 159 form and pay 50 dollars...at least that's how I did it...Hope it helps
it will get approved probably the next day, you can call the 1-800# and they will give you your call sign number.....then look up your liscence online and print it up. The actual permit should take about 1 to 1 1/2 weeks to get to you....but it is the government we are talking abolut so you never know!
