The true owner of WOA's MD-11ER's is Boeing. Boeing wants the ER Pax aircraft out of the market as they compete for 777 slots. So the ER's are slated for Cargo conversion in the future, when I don't know.

And this means what pertaining to this thread? Are you saying that Sonair and Boeing are in bed with each other for something that amounts to no more than 2 airplanes, neither of which are 777's?

Sorry I will be more specific, If WOA doesn't have a ER they can't fly the route and WOA at this time does not have 47 pax aircraft on the way or on their certificate. Sonair has these 47's ready to operate and needs someone to do it.

World is already flying Houston to Luanda for Sonair on a World MD-11.

As for the 747's, World never had a serious intention to get pax 747's for Sonair....it was just talk and the idea was canned long before this current bid. The contract bid has been about other airlines crewing Sonair's 747's all along.

World has the Sonair flying for at least another year.
