EVERGREEN INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES POSITION DESCRIPTION

B-747 First Officer 747 Fleet Captain
DEPARTMENT JOB SUPERVISES (TITLES)
Operations None
Minimum Requirements: (4000 total, 1000 Pilot In Command, 1000 Turbine. 1000 hours PIC Turbojet preferred.)
I. JOB PURPOSE
Second-In Command of the aircraft. Assist the Captain in safe and efficient conduct of flight.
II. WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, crouching, or kneeling. Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 30 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Protective Equipment Required: Ear protection.
Potential Hazards: Exposure to high intensity noise levels, changes in temperature, materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets, working around moving machinery.
III. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
First Officer is Second-In Command of the flight when Reserve Captain is not assigned to the flight crew.
Must comply with all regulations and directives pertaining to the conduct of the flight in a manner suitable to the Captain.
Aid the Captain with pre-flight and in-flight duties.
Must perform any functions as assigned by the Captain.
Duties not listed within the position description may be required of the employee at the discretion of the department management. Job functions may vary due to irregular working conditions or multiple shift positions.
