Does Flex pay as well as NetJets

On Airline Pilot Central, it shows the daily rate for 9 year FlexJet guys at either $650 (Challenger) or $616 (Lear)

Also remember that those years of service are minus one, meaning a 9 year captain is actually on year 8 pay. Versus a nine year captain at netjets who is on year 9 pay. I have no clue why they do it that way.

What's the benefits package like over there?

Do they have to pay for their insurance?

Yes

What's their 401K like? How much does the company match?

100% of first 6%, plus a 2-4% match based on things I cant remember

Do they get per diem AND crew food whenever they're on duty?

Yes

Do they offer loss of medical insurance?

Um, this I am not sure about

How about a Hyatt legal plan?

Dunno what that is so I guess not

What type of life insurance do they offer?

Company paid plan. Not sure of the details, but 3 times annual salary comes to mind. Might be wrong

Do they stay at quality hotels such as Hiltons, Marriotts, and Hyatts while being able to retain their points for their stays?

Generally Hilton or Priority club properties

What is their uniform allowance?

$200 a year, I think

Does their company allow the crew members to book personal travel using the company's discounts?

I ask these because I don't know the answers to them. There's no attack there. Just interested in comparing the two sides to get a real picture as to the entire "compensation package."

Each company has its advantages and disadvantages. In bottom line dollars, I think a Netjets pilot makes more over a career than a Flexjet pilot. We can argue about it, but the anecdotes I hear about Flexjet make me think its a good company. They include:
- a pilot permanently disabled in a traffic accident who was given a position in training so he could keep working;
- pilots who were allowed to take the jet home because of a family emergency or the birth of a child;
- incredible scheduling flexibility, especially for pilots with difficult situations at home (like long-term illness of a spouse).

Both food companies - which hopefully will be successful in the future so the 580 furloughees between the two companies can get back to work.

Well, I do write that with humor in mind, since I'm one of the joint 575 or so on the outs. We're all in the same leaky boat.

In less than a month, I'll cross over the 9 year mark for pay. My daily rate is $704.13. In real dollars, I'll bring in around $135-140K on my W-2 this year.

That looks like less pay to me. Of course, if someone chose to work 275 days a year, they would make more than me. That's ok though, I prefer time off with a comfortable lifestyle.

But what you failed to mention is thats the pay on the 18 day schedule. Thats not 7 n 7 pay
