So, what will replace the current 765 flying? If they fly nightly from ATL to MAD or to MUC, then something will replace it, either the 767ERs from JFK the 765s are replacing, or something else like A330s.

Only 1/2 the fleet is being considered as moving to JFK. Think of it as taking the LAX 765 and now putting in NYC. 10 of 21 jets The rest is/will be done by fly thru 330 crews.

Okay, then where will the ERs go from JFK, that are being replaced by 765s? Could it be.......wait for it.....SEA? They have to be going somewhere unless we are parking them. When will CVG ER go away? (they don't really have any planes there anyway, since they DH to and from almost every trip)

And, I think I will still comfortably hold ATL on the ER. I could have been relatively senior on the 765 here in ATL, but I like the ER and it's variety. Thanks though.

Funny thing is that most of that 765 flying already being done up there. I am sure you will see flying or pairing do some other stuff, but from the sounds of it, no SEA ER base this bid. That should be in AUG.

Yeah, I guess you are right. I know the 765 has a couple flights to LHR from JFK, and DTW and MSP are on 765s also from LHR I believe. That sure will cut down on Roosevelt layovers. Thanks for the info.

I figured that. CVG will also get senior when they dump the ER time. I see mass evacuations out of DTW, and maybe a small amount out of MSP, but it seems those MN people love it up there. I bet the AUG bid in 2010 will be a real disrupter too.

I live in SC, and have been considering bidding in to ATL, but I've pretty much decided to stay in DTW. It's really not that bad of a commute as long as you're not on reserve. I think my relative seniority is going to skyrocket there compared to what it would do in ATL.

I keep hearing numbers like 800 NWA guys live in FLA, and a few hundred in the ATL area also. For those guys living in FLA, DAL-S also has hundreds of pilots living there who commute to ATL, and most of the time the choices are DL and Airtran, and maybe even an RJ on DL. I think many have changed to JFK as a base since JB and others fly almost hourly up there. It will be interesting, no doubt.

Things can change, but it sounded like they are keeping the ER time in CVG until at least the AUG 2010 bid.

I agree, and am looking at the jets in MSP and DTW. It would mean a commute, but it it is better than sitting reserve on the 88 in ATL. That is one brutal position to be in. I know I am in the minority, but I would prefer to commute to a 320 line than a 70 hr reserve line where I fly 69.5 hrs over 18 days.

I'm still watching it from my last month of mil leave, but it looks like guys around my seniority (10600ish) are getting 75+ hour blocks with 16-17 days off in DTW and MSP. I'd probably lose a couple more days to the commute, but that sounds pretty reasonable.

I'm still watching it from my last month of mil leave, but it looks like guys around my seniority (10600ish) are getting 75+ hour blocks with 16-17 days off in DTW and MSP. I'd probably lose a couple more days to the commute, but that sounds pretty reasonable.

That is on the 320 correct?

Yes, A320. I think MSP is actually a little less senior on the 320, but I haven't really paid too close attention to msp because it's a much harder commute for me.

Per the DAL 44 demographics update there is only 342 DAL-N pilots that live in FL and 76 in GA

DAL-S has 597 pilots that live in FLA and 2345 pilots that live in GA.
