Union officials agreed with Delta Airlines Management to allow 50 CRJ1000 regional jets to be flown under the "Delta Connection" banner. What airline will fly them is unclear, but sources close to Delta say it will likely be whoever will do it the cheapest.

ALPA Union officials agreed to the deal based on a 15% pay increase for mainline pilots, pension guarantees, and a free pair of Atlanta Braves baseball tickets.

What are you going to fly it for?

Anything less than 140 an hr is going to pull this profession down even more!

Sad, but it will happen. People are not professional any more, it's a "what's in it for me" world. I laugh at these young guys who are in their early 20's with like 500 hours and think they should be flying a 747 int. or the space shuttle for that matter. Put your time in and you might get there. This industry is not like going to McD's drive-thru and getting a happy meal any time you want, grow up!!!:angryfire

Would be believable, but you said the DL pilots got something. They would cave on scope as long as management says "will help you in the future".
 
I dont want to see that plane on any regional's certificate. With the amount of people it is designed to carry, it is a direct replacement for the A-320 and DC-9. It had better be flown for mainline carriers for mainline pay. If the legacy's give up scope on this aircraft, we need to burn the industry down to the ground because thats exactly what they will be doing.

You can thank the senior pilots for selling out their junior brothers snd sisters and the entire industry on scope. A 55 year old whale captain couldn't care less if the CRJ1000 is flown by Mesa. It doesn't effect them. Heck most of them don't even know the names of the regional carriers flying routes under the mainline name. Sad but true. Age 65 only makes it all worse.
 
Skywest FOs are agonizing over where to put their new CRJ1000 posters.

Rumor has it they're all over the training center. They're also working out a deal with Bombardier to borrow one of them just for training so the Skywest pilots can say that they flew the 10. Training flights will be done in Palm Springs, 100 pilots at a time. They're saying it's going to cost 200 bucks per pilot which they'll have to pay.

February 19, 2006: Bombardier CRJ1000, a new regional jet aircraft from the Bombardier family has been announced. The Bombardier CRJ1000 is an extension of the recent CRJ 900, which itself is a stretch version of Bombardier CRJ 900. The new aircraft has already got bookings from about 15 customers for 60 CRJ1000s. Some airlines which had earlier ordered the earlier versions of Bombardier regional jets are now shifting to the new model, Bombardier said in a statement.

It must be an RJ becasue Bombardier says so.

Dumbest post all day. as if we would pay 200 bucks to go fly some airplane. My friends in the training dep. are just flying the line like everyone else. All of our sim guys but 12 are back on line, as of a couple weeks ago. SKW doesn't look like there planning anything.

Get off your high horse and read your own contract.

The Delta Boys and girls have already agreed to how much a 100 seat jet should pay. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that is a 100 an hour for a senior captain.

The folks at the regionals have higher pay scales for smaller equipment.

The folks at the majors need to quit pointing fingers at the regionals, when the industry has been pissed away buy the guys at the top trying to save their own @ss.

E-195 is 136.89 in 2012 and the CRJ-900 is 116.46

Like I said a 100 seater for 140 an hr. We also will have over 10% in our 401K match.
 
interesting... So you were a part of the "problem" yourself not too long ago. $140/hour, are you serious? Big difference between what we should get paid and the reality of the market.

Don't forget where you came from, it seems that 767 and double breasted blazer went a little to your head mister.

BTW I want nothing to do with the CRJ 1000 or 900 for all that matter, but those are cards that are dealt by big bad mother D based on the decisions of your co-workers.

No, No, If you remember before he became a double breast, he sang a diff tune. While he was at ASA he was doing right, now that he is a DL D!ck he believes that people following the same career path he did are doing wrong. Funny how he's pushing to get Compass stapled, knowing if they don't, he will be on the street next year, unless they staple compass then he can put a Compass Capt. on the street.

I stand corrected. I must be thinking of the last contract before the merger.

Good luck at Delta. With any luck APLA will start to figure scope out, for the sake of those still pursuing an airline dream.
 
The double breasted blazer hasn't gone to his head. He, like quite a few others, are trying to make a difference over here and increase the amount of mainline pilot positions by a significant margin.

The fewer the mainline positions and the more RJs that are delivered by this severely weakened scope that was brought on by bankruptcy and shortsightedness, the more likely someone is bound to have a much longer stop at a lower paying position.
