Too bad that same Union has no spine today. All the focus on is DS and Emaestro.
They ask at the end of each VARS "How many times has your contract been voilated today?"...but they should answer their own question with "It doesn't matter because we won't defend the contract".
I know I know, people will come on and tell me to get involved. Get involved with what? Going to Vegas? Or making up an imaginary assesment fee, after DAL has said there will be no merger at the regional level...yet we're still getting bills for the fee. But wait, we'll get the money back if there is no merger. But not all the money, just what ever is left over from the lawyers.
Our Union is a joke and I think our pilot group has spoken....44% is in bad standing.
I haven't flown with one guy this month that isn't in bad standing.Count me in as one in bad standing. Maybe they can give me a knucklehead award!
Who ever thinks Mesa is going bye bye is a fool. They will always be around.BTW, for everyone that keeps spouting off that Mesa is going to delist in December needs to do their homework. NASDAQ has suspended the delisting trigger of sub $1.00 stock because of the current economic situation. Initially through Jan 16, 2009 and now extended through the end of 2009. Like it or not, Mesa will stay on the exchange

If by chance they do shut down, the rest of the industry will not improve like everyone believes. It will continue to suck. Someone else will step up and take the roll of the bottom feeder.
Personally, I think Comair will be the first regional shut down.
Oh yeah. Remember to fly PPAS and call "on time" for every departure. BEcause Delta is watching these numbers, see how much we save them in fuel ($90k last month alone) and this is going to save us!
PS
I don't know how to remove the image of the little guy rolling his eyes. how do i?

It's in remote parking with all 24 airplanes.C'mon DX, where's your ALPA pride?
CMR used to have one of the strongest ALPA groups......ALPA has failed.....
Joe, you are so right. What an absolute shame. The current MEC and crew have nothing but tunnel vision and suffer from cronyism.
The current MEC has too much hate for DS and spends all their energy fighting him. Can't see the forest for the trees. Truly depressing.
If Comair does die, current ALPA leadership will have been a factor.
I just got furloughed and will be doing overseas contract work until things shake out back in the US. Hopefully, the remaining Comair pilot group is strong enough to say "enough is enough" and do what is necessary.
There's nothing I can do but refuse to pay my outstanding ALPA assessments and encourage those with a vote.
I fear Comair is heading to way of ACA/flyI, Skyway etc. It's sad. Shame on Delta. Shame on ALPA.
One more thing you can do is to take the postage paid ALPA PAC envelopes and send a message to ALPA...ALPA has to pay the postage on it.....
I could be a real jackass and pay them in rolls of pennies in the PAC envelope. $17.50, postage due per envelope. Ha!
I hope you guys fare better that Comair, but that's not really saying much.
All hands, abandon ship. Time for the orchestra to start playing "Nearer My God To Thee"
The guys who have said "enough is enough" have left, or will be leaving.Hopefully, the remaining Comair pilot group is strong enough to say "enough is enough" and do what is necessary.

.
Sad but true.Yeah, I don't plan on coming back to Comair. There's nothing left. No QOL, no character or spirit. If by some miracle there is a recall, I won't bite on a 7 year upgrade and 15 years to hold a line.
I couldn't face going to another regional and starting over again. I plan on staying overseas until the economy is good enough to find a decent corporate job.
Several "good" regionals have been shut down before.....West Air, ACA, and Alleghany......Air Willy came close......XJT isn't far away either.....
In this business you don't want to be the highest cost operator.....
The guys who have said "enough is enough" have left, or will be leaving.
They know the industry will not improve. They have no faith in ALPA and figured that there is no future or living to be made at the airlines anymore.
Pensions? HAHAHA! Only for the management.
Don't pay the assesment fee. Chances are you won't return to Comair or an ALPO carrier.
If that letter that AF sent out has any true to it, furloughed NWA guys will be flying our airplanes. But I have yet to see the write up, showing any truth to that. It won't suprise me if it's true.
Joe, all the regionals will be smart to vote ALPA off. We're doing nothing but undercutting each other to survive and ALPA does nothing to help.
Not doubting it, but where does he get all of his information? He has some pretty some accusations in that memo.Ford's memo was garbage. It went straight into the trash along with the 100% lapel pin.

They're seriously handing those out? Where? What a joke. I guess they replace the Christmas ham.
He didn't provide any sources and I have been unable to find anywhere in the PWA of his accusation. He hates scope and wants to be able to underbid mainline for larger aircraft.
If you're talking about the flowback that is forced on you if you take 900s....It's in the new DAL JPWA and it came from the NWA contract....It is very real.....

Nice try! Maybe next time you check the facts.
And if just happens to be true, in every sense of the new definition of the word SCAB. This would make NWA pilots scabs, since they're flying furloughed work. We'll see if he can produce the facts.
