If you get it, be a pal and let a Beech dude or two bunk with you .... Make them pay for your beer or something in exchange for room and board .... ;o)

Does Colgan Pay during training? How likely to get into the saab right now?

$50/day + hotel room + travel benefits + food occasionally ....

very likely to get the Saab ....

sounds good. what about the Saab? are they hiring into it right now? If you went with the beech how long before upgrade and/or transition to the saab?

sorry bout the rapid fire questions.

Far as I know they're still running two classes a month, upgrade on the Beech should be bout a year, less if we keep getting more airplanes ... then right now it's a 1 yr seat lock on the left seat of the Beech b4 going to the left seat of the Saab ... again, all could change, especially if we get the rumored 50 seaters ...

Is HYA considered a junior base. If not, what are your chances of getting based there outside of summer if you are an FNG.
Thanks

Nice, that sounds like a plan. I didn't realize they had 1900 guys based there. I doubt I'll get it, since I'm one of the most junior guys. Wish me luck. chperplt, I'll definately give those places a visit. Did the ladies treat you well in HYA?

No, and what's an FNG ?

FNG: F#*&^ing new guy.
Thanks for the reply

Right, how could I forget, it hasn't been that long ... We like to refer to you here as the Schedule W#ore, bit less obsene ..

HYA is a temporary Saab base, permanent Beech Mx base. Usually anyone smart enough to ask people about HYA puts it last on the list ... It's expensive and it's a Mx base so you bet you WILL get screwed, guaranteed ... Oh and the weather is lovely, if you come out of the fog in one piece ...

That all depends on "which" ladies you're referring to!

I was married when I was there, so I don't have any first hand knowledge of "those" ladies, but they seem very friendly. The ladies at the station were ok..

My point exactly! And folks, you need not take things so personally. I was not cutting on AirTran in an earlier post. In fact, if you read the print, I basically say good for you. If, given the state of the industry, you have chosen AirTran as your carrier, then the means has justified the end, and after 4 years a CJC, you deserve to go where you want to go. Obviously, we all would have liked to be at one of the legacy majors, it just ain't happening. I, PERSONALLY, and I restate the point, PERSONALLY, do not want to fly for AirTran. If they were the only one's bangin' down my door, I might budge; but my life style dictates where I would like to go, be based, etc. Frankly, one or two other regionals fit that mold better than does AirTran. So chill out, don't take things so personally, be glad you've moved on, and we'll see you out on the battlefield.

No worries , just had a little juice in me and went on a semi-rant. Go for what you want. Just got off a 4-day and this airport (ATL) sucks big-time. I thought LGA was bad! T-storms roll through and at least 2+ hour delays. Though it wasn't as bad until a few months ago when Delta started their simple-fares(?) and added 80+ flights a day out of here. Also seemed to coincide with the whole RVSM thing.

Cap'n -- Come on man, give me a break about the ice-carrying thing! You never did it from the left seat!
