Thanks fellas. I didn't realize you were able to use that option to travel anywhere. That is great, though my wife is not going to like it if I get hired and use that option and leave her behind....lol. Guess I will be buying a ticket.

Great information fellas, thanks for taking the time and helping me out.

Now if they would open up more domiciles in the midwest, things would be golden.

MSP/STP please. ;)

Can anyone tell me what the new CS pay rate is for first year FO? Is the $40K amount shown on airlinepilotcentral.com the new rate?

I believe that rate is the old rate. The new rate is effective soon (maybe April 1st) and it is closer to the Netjets newhire rate of about $60K to start.

Open? A CS pilot told me he heard they are reducing the bases to about 6, and grandfathering the current guys to their respective domiciles. Just something I heard. Someone else had to as well.....

It will be interesting to see if they do this. This is the first time I have read someone say this.

The last word internally is that they would not be closing any bases(also not opening new ones) but that they are focusing their recruiting around their five largest bases. I know 3 of those 5 are HPN, MCO, DEN I forget the other 2 right now.

ATL, IAD, and PHX too I think.

CSM's little dream would be to have these huge mega bases so that every fleet is well staffed in every base and there would be little to no airlining. Sounds nice on the surface but I can't imagine how many well qualified applicants they are missing out on to try and save a few bucks on airline tickets. They are not shy about this process. One new guy I spoke with couldn't decide if he wanted to move towards GSO or IAD and the interviewer urges him in the interview that IAD would be better a choice (wink wink). Airlining is the name of the game in fractionals and they need to accept it.
