All the Oasis guys were offered interviews with the exception of a few ex-CX people. From what I hear, some of the guys elected to go to the Middle East or mainland China for quick and or direct entry commands. (possibly better money)

For those of us interviewing for the SO slots, do you expect to sit SO for 4yrs before any bypass pay or upgrade to JFO?

Right now it is less than 3 years to upgrade from SO to JFO on the A330.

Basic SO salary year 1 is roughly 33,000 HKD per month. Hourly flight pay is paid in addition to basic salary. I cannot remember the SO hourly pay rates off the top of my head. SO housing allowance is roughly 32,000 HKD per month, as of today. Education allowance paid for children's school tuition , if applicable. Per diem also paid and is calculated on layover port costs and is paid in cash at check in counter of hotel.

With regards to KA/Oasis joiners, 70 ex-KA cargo officers elected to join. While only 60 out of 170 of the Oasis pilots decided to join.

Thank you!!

check the COS 08

I don't think any COS 08 pilot get bypass pay!
and as listed in the last news from the GMA about bypass pay triggers SO rarely get any as they are usually not assessed suitable for upgrade until a few weeks prior to their upgrade.

With all the DE-FO's being hired and abuses of the COS, plan on at least 4 years as an SO. there is a big que and the SO's are on the bottom. Best to join as a DE-FO.

Any idea how long until they start bringing some DEFOs in? I hear there is already a big pool waiting for further info and arent expecting much until late 2009.

I'd agree with that statement. I initially interviewed for DEFO got offered a DESO for a final interview (no explanation). During my final interview they said to expect training the middle of 09'. No more DEFO final interviews until early 09' which would probably put trainnig at the end of 09'.

Just recived an e-mail that they canceled my Sept 29 to Oct 3rd interview due to way too many applicants waiting for a class date. So I am back in the line waiting, So close....I guess next round.

Mine was canceled too. I was scheduled Oct 3rd in NYC. At least it wasnt just me! :( Hopefully the wait isnt too long for another interview date.
