DALPA didn't say that about stopping a merger? Be specific. Yes or No. I know you can do it....unless you're mind is still spinning about the whole "which number is greater than another number" thing.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Who said that they wanted to stop the merger? I am not privy to the details, but we stopped the merger until it became in our best interest to support it. NWA held their breath until they couldn't hold their breath any more. Since you brought me into it.... I've been keeping silent for awhile, but just read the final transcript, and I expect NWA to settle any day no our ratio list with drastically less allowance for retirements that they sought initially. If they don't, they are fools. RH and RW just solidified Delta's case remarkably.

So basically you're using Delta testimony to prove delta testimony. Dude, that is patently ridiculous... Delta claims NWA only needs 9.5 captains per 747-400, but Delta needs 22.5 per 777?

That number is correct. Delta will be utilizing that aircraft on four man operations, where Delta requires 2 captains and 2 f/os rather than 1 captain and 3 f/os. Throw in a couple of mulitpliers into the mix with regard to vacation and other things and you get 22.5. Did you even READ the testimony?

Unfortunately, this throws a wrench into the NWA testimony and staffing numbers due to the increased captains and decreased f/o requirements. Benefits Delta's arguments on both the senior and junior side of the list.

Yes I read the testimony, and I accept that the 777 needs more captains than the 747 per jet, but I know we can't operate with only 9.5 captains per 747.
