Greaaaaaat. Oh, well. Time to start working together and do what ALPA National has been unable to do...take it back.

What are you talking about? ALPO does exactly what it needs to do. . . . protect those in ALPO national and make themseleves rich. Hopefully we can get this merger done and start our own REAL union and get rid of ALPA. . . i.e. the biggest scam in the airline industry. Thanks again for age 65 Prater. . . you might as well be a scab!

ALPA = Goldman Sachs

I thought CAL was going to be the leader in this but the new airline will be the NEW UNITED and based in CHICAGO? I kinda thought it would still be Continental.

Not at all, but United supposedly has greater name recognition and doesn't get confused with a tire company.

CAL [we] are at least as significant to the new operation/brand as NWA was/is to the new Delta.

I hope they will find a way to recognize CAL.

Man I dont know. Leaving Houston and using the United name? Not a huge fan. The again I may be biased because I grew up in Houston.

Damn

In the event of a merger CO will obviously be as significant as UA. The name means nothing to me. I do alot of flying in Asia where UAL does have much better name recognition but the reverse could be said of South America. Who cares. If it makes a good company and we can improve our standard of living the company name on the paycheck is insignificant.

Can't disagree with that. Well said.
