No thread for this yet. The internal speculation runs the gamut from flow for new hires only to pay increased to buying GoJet.

Hmmm, a wholly owned airline by Delta, buying GoJet who has United feed....um yea, that is going to happen.

At one time AMR bought Bizex, a DCI carrier in the NE taking away DALs New England feed. As a result DAL bought ASA and Comair to protect other feed. The rest is history. At the job fairs, all the majors are saying they will decimate regionals of other carriers by hiring away pilots.

It's possible majors could use wholly-owned's to disrupt feed.

But in reality, Endeavor will be history after the next rate reset.

Is this a bad April fools joke we are all falling for?? Who ever started the rumor "big announcement" has sold it well. From crew room to crew bus all you hear is "did you hear about the big announcement next week?" lmao!

Why would they want to acquire another regional. Sounds like a few years of headaches to finally get everything merged together. I suppose they want to prove they can have a successful merger process after the last one went not even close to smooth.

Why not raise the compensation package and get pilots through the door at day 1. Probably easier and cheaper then a merger.

Why would the union agree to a flow agreement for new hires only, just because Delta did the interview on them?? You have to have something in it for the whole pilot group other wise probably have the opposite effect. I think a lot of guys are on the fence about staying and are waiting to see what the company has to offer. If it's not fair and something for everyone Delta is gonna lose a lot of pilots at the regional level to the low cost guys and other regionals. Who wants to commute to JFK/LGA for 75x$37hr and sit reserve in the most expensive city in America with nothing to look forward to career wise. Endeavor must be concerned about staffing NYC after dealing with the latest award. Because there just about out of volunteers to head out east. Once you displace FO's out to NYC and after they have finished training and used up their 2weeks company provided hotel and 2 weeks perdiem reality is gonna set in and I'm guessing First Officers will leave in droves at that point.

Why does the company say we are going down to 70 CR2's by the end of the year and then they plan to start bring them back next year back up to 100-125? They can barely staff 80 at this point. Isn't that the max all DCI careers can have by 2015' 125?

Why is Delta not doing "SSP" interviews in the month of April??

This whole thing seems to be snow balling. If we are really going down to only having 81 CR9's then the big announcement is probably parking 50 more CR2's. If they sincerely want to fly as many CR2's as they can staff according to their claims then they probably need to sweeten the pot for everyone and soon.

The obvious answer is accelerated shrinking. 200's to the desert because of staffing issues....more downgrades = more resignation letters. Only the Bloch quotas will save your seat assuming you can hold it. Any junior captain on the 900 that is NOT seat protected will be displaced to FO. Growth in JFK and LGA ... all new 900's heading that way,...so either guys will commute it, or be faced with a downgrade. Think that about sums it up!

Barry says that it isn't a rumor, there will be an annnouncement. The announcement will not, in any way, address any issues for current pilots. The announcement is a "unique" (talking point) way to attract new hires and will solve all our problems.

Guum-Ball said the SSP would be a program other pilots would kill for. Kill for, but they sure won't come work here.

It'll be another last ditch sales pitch to attract new hires. I just wonder what the small flock of new hires jan-mar will think with this new announcement. Will they quit and try to get rehired? Will we all?

Looking forward to the announcement, we need another management experiment at this company to help the moral.

I'd love to know what will be so great for someone not yet hired that does nothing for any current pilot. Can someone explain how that's supposed to help the rapid attrition?

Well thats our point as skeptical pilots. But it appears that the company bas been instructed by Delta to get rid of everyone, and alienate them.

Thanks for all you do.
